Speedos on Carnival Cruise to Mexico?

I read the thread about NCL and speedos. Anyone have any recent experience with Carnival cruise lines? Are speedos common or rare? Cruise is to Mexico. Thank you in advance for your responses.

I would say rare. I have seen only a few and have worn mine only on the adults-only upper sundeck.

Thank you for the response. It’s been so long since I’ve been on a cruise. Can you remind me generally what is or isn’t allowed on the adults only sundeck? Also, do they check ID or room keys?

Did you get to wear your thongs on your latest cruise? Do they still have an adult sun deck?
