Default Strange thing about bodybuilders' outfits

I watched a TV program where there was a bodybuilder contest on, and the contestants wore really brief briefs, in front of a mixed audience.

So if men are prepared to do that, why is there such a problem wearing Speedos at the beach or the pool?

I think the whole thing is the context in which the brief suit is worn. Body builders are expected to display themselves in skimpy suits while men are not expected to be wearing speedos at the beach or pool. But, then again, there is nothing to say that those of us who prefer speedos can't ignore others' expectations.

I always thought it was best to exceed expectations. Swim briefs definitely exceed board short expectations...

body builders wear skimpy bikini suits to show off their leg muscles as well as their abs. The brief cut of the backs show off their butt muscles. In the last couple years some body building contests have started to wear thongs to really show off the muscles. Skimpy suits are their "uniform" like speedos are swimmers "uniforms"
On a side note, the use of roids have a tendency to shrink their package so often times the guys look like they are hung like a 9 year old.

.... people who watch and attending bodybuilding contests (online articles/news) have common interest. Wear as little as possible to show off the hard worked muscle groups to WIN !

And the "well endowed" are so pronounced, nothing can hide.
I heard that they used tapes to be sure the band and leg openings won't accidentally came loose and exposed.

But they look great, I think!
