Default Not about Speedos, but short shorts.

An "interesting" article.

Default "interesting"

Forgive my cynicism but the bullshit written by journalists (usually female),
desperately trying to fill trendy magazine space, is not worth the paper it is written on. She mentions Daniel Craig and the massive publicity campaign for the release of Casino Royale became so over-hyped that his "revealing" pic. was, in some publications, ridiculously captioned as wearing a daring bikini.
At least this one has the honesty to admit the nonsense of the socks and sandals story which has recently descended upon us.

I ran across this vid on runners:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEKQcIhjoxU

It was made back in 2010 so they must have embraced the idea of wearing short running shorts before I started wearing them in 2011.

We've installed a security camera in our condo building and one of them monitors the front along the sidewalk.

Looking though the videos, I've noticed there are a lot more guys out jogging in old fashioned runner's shorts.

Most of them are running in the late afternoon and evening after they get off work or when it's cooler.

Just to "Keep the engine warm" for this topic, here's the style for track & field:

To avoid crotch raspberries, running shorts need to have the absolute minimum amount of material between the legs. That means the shorter, the better. Check out this week's pictures of the winner of the Boston Marathon.

Looks like the wrestling teams have also been doing some serious trimming of the leg length:

Update on this topic as of June 1, 2015.

I went to Home Depot and there was a young guy and a girl shopping and the guy was wearing 1980s style short shorts. They looked like an off the shelf product. I don't know what the brand was, but they were about 6 or 7 inches above the knees.

Then I went to the supermarket and there was a group of three young guys in the line ahead of me. One of them was wearing what appeared to be cut off Nike or Adidas basketball shorts. Again, they were 6 or 7 inches above the knees.

Two separate incidents in one day of guys wearing short shorts. How's that for being "On A Roll"!!!

I only wear 5 inch inseam shorts now, which are the shortest available at most sites but still don't feel that short or revealing -- they're very comfortable, especially in the summer.
