Default A day in speedos

Anyone here spend the entire day in speedos, pretty much entirely from morning through night? (Not necessarily every day!)

I have and I used to often. Some pairs get uncomfortable after 5 hours and such others like my blue solar fit so well I am happy. How about a day where I leave 5 am in the morning to get to the dock by 6:30 stay on my kayack until 1pm go back in, pack up, go to a different beach and snooze till 9pm (summer in CA) go home and fall asleep in my speedos and an old tee shirt... I did that several times 2 summers ago. I dream to do it again.

Default All Day in a Speedo

Have done it a very few times when I was home all day in hot weather and getting in and out of the pool and not mowing the lawn. Haven't had the courage to try that because I live on a busy through street. Usually do it in gym shorts and shirtless, but a speedo just seems a little too revealing for that.

Default self concious?

Can't quite understand that - you have worn them in the past but they have become too revealing for you now? ( a strange logic there - living on a through highway means you are unlikely to see the feared spectators again
but in a cul-de-sac you would more likely meet neighbors every day)

I have never worn them to mow the lawn. The reason that I have worn a speedo all day more often in past and less so recently is that I find it more difficult to find a day when I will be home all day and not needing to mow the lawn. I am not more modest than I used to be. Most of my neighbors have seen me in a speedo at some point, so it wouldn't bother me if they saw me in them doing something else like mowing the lawn. More often than not, on the day I mow, I will see someone from work or church drive by or someone from one of those places will mention later that they saw me mowing the lawn. I am getting close to retirement so it will be easier to find full days to spend in a speedo when I do. However, we are hoping to be empty nesters soon and I need to replace my pool fence and I am considering an 8' stockade fence, so I may be able to spend a good part of many days wearing nothing.

Default Fortifications

Controversial I may be for saying so but I picked up on "church" and "will mention later".
That sounds as if conversation can sadly devolve on petty irrelevancies in the neighborhood - are there many Mrs Grundys about?

In general the comments after the fact are not about my attire. Just stating that they saw me mowing the lawn. Yes, I will admit that I would be uncomfortable being seen by people I know but am not particularly close to mowing the lawn in a speedo because it is unusual. If one of them belonged to my gym and saw me in one in the lap pool, it wouldn't bother me because that is a "normal" place to wear a speedo.

There is a difference between mowing the front and back lawns. Mowing the back lawn is a private matter and any neighbours seeing you is between you and them. Mowing the exposed front lawn in speedos is to do it in front of the whole community, people talk and may disapprove. This is not about shyness or modesty but about avoiding the wrong reputation in the community you have to live in. Knowing that a community is singling someone out for wearing speedos in "public" would put others off wearing speedos rather than help them slip into them.

Default All Day in a Speedo

I am surprised that we only got two direct responses to the question. Must be more of us that have done so than that. Anyone else care to respond?
