I wear the light blue Aussiebum swim briefs in early morning swims and I don’t think they are too transparent. With the cheeky suits the women are wearing a little VPL is pretty tame. I have a white AussieBum but I would never wear it in public—too exhibitionist. The singly ply rear on the light blue suits show skin but not so much as the white. The light blues are just something fun and different to wear. The nice thing about lap swimming is the confidence people have in their bare bodies.

AQUX sheer white
AQUX had a transparent suit, especially when it is wet
https://usg-online.com/index.php?media/aqux__2533.5368/ https://usg-online.com/index.php?media/aqux__2543.5369/ https://usg-online.com/index.php?media/aqux__2555.5370/ They keep changing designs, but look at the "sheer" suits here. They stick a comb under the sheer suits (various colors) to show how transparent they are, front or back https://aqux.ocnk.net/product-list/8?page=2 |

White and see-through
I had some from Ali-Express - normally I cut of the front -lining - but in this case it was too much for public swim....
This one is really very transparent, even a little without water https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000...424c4dV 3N4pm This I bought - it´s comfortable and you decide, how much transparency you give it - cutting out or letting it original... https://www.aliexpress.com/item/3295...424c4dV3N 4pm |

Sheer Swinwear
There are any number of places where you can find sheer swimwear, and in general, you get what you pay for. Cheapest are Chinese-made, and tend to be of various quality $5-$20. Best tends to be Japanese-made $50-$100. Middle road is Australian made - good quality, but the fabric is not always comfortable.
Two Japanese makers are Aqux, and Surfblade. Their sizes run small, from sss for a 24" waist to XXXL for a 31" waist. Don't waste time bitching about how small they are - is what it is - as is the price and the cost of overseas shipping. You can also try Tomsports - they carry Speedo, Arena and Tyr. Their size O should fit a 32" waist, and usually has great stretch. fyi - sizes are sss,ss,s,M,L,O,XO,XXO so, O for 32, L for 30 and M for 28 - and that's an ACTUAL 28, and not because that's the size one of your pairs of jeans says!! I will add some pix of Surfblade suits. |
