Default Different Styles of Briefs

I think it would be great if we had a "glossary" or index of the different styles of bikinis, briefs, etc. I was just thinking about this for making a library of styles for those who are either looking for a particular style to buy or to make. Maybe this already exists somewhere, but with all the different iterations like pouch front brief, flat front bikini, etc. there seems to be a ton of different options for styles.
This is just a thought.

The problem with a definitive glossary is that different manufacturers in different countries and with different languages use different nomenclature, but here goes:

The front of a swim suit may be smooth or pouched, a pouch is formed by sewing 2 mirror image sections of fabric on a convex curve. A partial pouch effect can be achieved by cutting an upside down curved "V" (^) out of the base of the suit front and sewing the sides together. A minimal suit needs a pouch front to give space to adult male parts.

The rear of a swim suit can be full, 3/4, !/2, 1/4 or minimal in covering the sides of the buttocks.

The front and rear of any swim suit can be high or low waisted, according to taste.

If a suit is intended for racing dive starts or rough sea swimming a waist cord may be added.

G String: Has a front pouch, uncovered waist elastic and uncovered elastic between the rear of the waist band and the base of the front pouch. Unstable in rough seas.

String Bikini: Has a front pouch and usually a 3/4 or 1/2 rear. The waist band is elastic covered in similar fabric (though often of a contrasting colour) to the front and rear of the suit. The front and rear of the suit are hung from the waistband but do not meet at the sides so the sides of this suit are just the fabric covered waistband. The leg elastics of this suit run down the left and right sides of the front and rear but do not join to become loops.

All suits below have leg elastic loops. Waist elastic tends to be 1/2 wide (12mm), while leg elastic tends to be 1/4" wide (6mm), the side width of a suit cannot be below 3/4" due to the addition of the waist and leg elastic (1/2"+1/4").

Swim Thong: Has a front pouch, and a minimal rear, it has waist elastic and 2 leg elastic loops which are sewn inside the fabric of the front and rear of the suit meeting at the sides so no elastic is showing. The sides of a swim thong will be around 3/4".

Posing Brief/Bikini: Partial front pouch, 3/4-full rear, 1" sides

Smooth Front Bikini: Smooth front, the fabric stretches over the male parts. 3/4-full rear, 1" sides.

Classic Racing Swim Brief: Smooth front, full rear, 2"-4" sides. Manufacturer may discretely slip in a partial pouch.

Swimming Trunks (Sungas): Smooth front, full rear, 5"+ sides.

Contour Swim Suit: Full front pouch, full rear, 2"+ sides.

Square Cut Swim Suit: All the swim suits above follow the line of the buttocks at the rear, square cut suits evolved from looser shorts and have legs, with leg elastic that goes around the thighs. Square cut suits are usually made from 4 fabric panels (front and rear, left and right) and so have a front pouch.

Jammers: Longer square cut swim suits that look like cycle shorts, they are intended to be made from high tech fabrics but are often made of Lycra for poorer swimmers.
