Default Swim Team Speedo

Ryan, aka “Swim Team Speedo” has always been one of the Mens Swim Suit Board’s most active members, both writing excellent Speedo fiction and commenting on other members’ adventures.

But, back in October he revealed he was dealing with advanced skin cancer and signed off, saying it was his final chapter.

I was hopeful it was a temporary setback and he’d be back, but apparently that post (copied below) really was his final chapter.

Please join me in saluting Ryan’s contributions and wishing him the best, wherever his journey takes him. STS, you are missed!

—————————————————————————————————-

I wish I could tell you what happens next for Allen. If you have read my non story posts you know I have been battling skin cancer. Over the last few weeks I have faced the sad reality that cancer will win. It has invaded the worst of possible places. I am blessed to have had an awesome run. If I can leave all of you with words of wisdom they would be that life is short, embrace who you are, never regret what you did not do, wear a swimsuit every day, love your family, cherish your friends. Embrace who you are.

The farm will live on. I am happy about that. My time now is sadly short. Funny thing is I feel fine. Every beach is “Speedo friendly” so never worry.

If I am reading this post correctly (and for once, I hope I am not), then I wish Ryan a peaceful journey, wherever his destination may be. His stories were always the best, and he encouraged everyone who posted here to wear our favorite swimsuits with pride. Go in peace, and hope the beaches you find are great
