Default Spandau Ballet

Thought you might like the attached picture that I saw in the BBC News website.
The article is featuring a new book about the celebrated newspaper photographer, Doreen Spooner, who was the first female photographer to be employed by a British National Newspaper – and who won the British News Picture of the Year award (in 1949 or 1950) with her picture of playwright George Bernard Shaw.

I love her picture of Spandau Ballet on the beach, that she took in 1982.

Second from the left is wearing a thong, I'll bet!

I think the second on the left is Steve Norman, and no it's not a thong it's a men's Rio style bikini which was very fashionable at the time.

My guess is this photo was probably taken around the time of 'Duran Duran's' hit 'Rio' when frolicking on the beach in small suits was popular for guys.
