Bike hangs up its jock and calls it quits
After 142 years, Bike jock straps are no more. Russell Athletic has discontinued making them. No word on what middle school boys and adult male porn stars will now be wearing for support.
It was probably inevitable, given jocks' reputation as uncomfortable, boys' shyness about changing clothes in public, and Bike's crappy quality control. Long gone are the days when they were considered a necessary part of every active male's life. R.I.P. http://www.bikejockstrap.com/default.aspx |

At least I have some left, but the elastic is starting to deteriorate. I wear them from time to time for a different feel down there.
Ahhhhh the days of the boys locker room and everyone was wearing them. |

Wow!
The end of an era!
Who'd have thunk they would ever stop making them? Now I wish I still had mine. |

In my opinion, Bike’s utilitarian style jock could not stay competitive with all the other companies who produce a higher quality and more fashion forward jock. I have about 20 jockstraps from different companies including Andrew Christian, C-In2, Rufskin, Timoteo, Nasty Pig, Marco Marco, Diesel, Pump, etc. – the list goes on and on. I love all the fun and colorful styles. I guess the demise of Bike is the end of an era, but definitely not the end of the jockstrap.

I agree, I have several fashionable jockstraps in amazing colours. Some with small pouches, and others with no strap underneath. I prefer to wear these jocks under stretch jeans as the feeling is a lot better than being overdressed inside the jeans. The coverage is quite less than the traditional jockstrap, and they get more attention when changing at the pool. |
