Default Swollen veins while swimming

Hey buddies! Happy to be a part of this forum. I love swimming. But now I am not able to swim properly due to knee pain. My legs become numb while swimming and I am unable to move a muscle during that time. I could see the veins swollen up. My trainer said it could be varicose vein and advised me to undergo a varicose vein treatment in Vaughan as soon as possible. While researching, I came across thrombophlebitis which describes similar symptoms. I am confused now. Anyone here has similar symptoms?

I do have some protruding veins on my leg too but I've no idea what it is either. :/ I have been overweight my whole life, so that might have something to do with it. I have lot quite a bit of weight but it's still there.

Varicose veins are dangerous, if a vein ruptures you can bleed to death.
Get it dealt with, you will be back on your feet after a few days and back in the pool soon enough.
See your doctor asap.
