Yes, it works - though you'll still have a faint tan line.

You'll notice that all tan-thru suits have really complicated patterns. The suits are sort of an open weave mesh and the pattern obscures the fact that you can see skin through them.

Yes, you'll tan through it, but not to the same degree as bare skin. I've always thought a razor sharp Speedo tan line and lily-white buns were more fun than an overall tan.

Oh yes, have to agree with last sentence above - love to imagine just what was being worn and where on those days out in the sun (and hope it wasn't a sunbed in a tanning salon).

Forgot to mention that it all goes wrong however when shorts have been worn for the tanning but a photo appears in briefs, as sometimes happens.
