What computer/operating system are you using?
They take time to open, be patient.

Default UTLs

Tw - why not do it the normal way to assist Schoolspeedo instead of sending him out to buy what he doesn't want?
(it just seems like simple courtesy to me instead of your off-hand reply)

Many consider the Apple Mac operating system to be superior to MS Windows. If you own an Apple Mac you won't want to buy an old Windows laptop, but if some file formats are unavailable on Apple Mac you may feel the need to get a Windows emulator or have to buy an old Windows laptop. Windows XP laptops are now being sold off really cheap because MS recently withdrew support for this operating system although 1/3 of the worlds computers still use it. Windows XP is probably the best operating system that MS have produced. Companies buying MS Vista computers often bought Win XP to back grade them as Vista was considered so bad. The Windows 8 on this computer is dreadful and looks written by kids with crayons, there is no logic in the file structure and it is easy to lose files. When I bought it there wasn't even an off button.

Default operating systems

Thanks for info. tw and I hope Louis reads of one third of the world being on XP as we were discussing only recently the withdrawal of MS support therefor.
MS Vista I was told was pretty useless and from what you say I am glad I have not also rushed out for Windows 8.
A friend operating on AppleMac often derides me for being a user of crappy MS but I guess their sheer dominance in the communications market will continue to determine what we do or do not proceed to for the timebeing.
(PS to that: have I not seen MS producing also their own computers?)
