Adidas GB Olympic Speedos
Hi All,
I have bought a couple of pairs of the Dark blue Adidas speedos with red Waist Band. These are not what was worn by British Swimming and Diving teams in Olympics, which were light blue/white at front and rear . I am not aware of any of these speedos being available to purchase. Please tell me if I am wrong. Speedojox |

team GB suits
Rather than go though all this again I suggest you read posts #11 - #20 ante.
The official announcement back in April/May 2012 showed the adopted solid dark blue Adidas with red waistband and two logos (replicas available for public sale as advertised on various websites by suppliers - but very soon "out of stock"). At the last moment another design appeared - this time half white and strange added wedges in light blue (it was Stella McCartney's interpretation of the Union Flag and although the former might have appeared in practise it was the latter which were worn in the Olympic events for real). To find that final design of suit is very difficult if not impossible - anyone who has one is likely to want to make a nice profit on Ebay. Btw, came across a Nike suit in a pic. recently which never seen before : probably in nylon and not Lycra but a solid dark blue with a red waistband. |

Now this one IS a mystery. Three guys at the door of what may be a club and definitely in London. Team GB Adidas are being worn but these are not Olympic competitors to my knowledge. |

Adidas Performance store Oxford Street 12th August 2012 The three models at the door and the queue is not for a club but for a Tom Daley book-signing session inside. Adidas can't seem to make up their minds. Latest Team GB design is being worn but note the earlier suit is still on the TD image on the shopfront. |

This is how Adidas Customer Services explain the situation:
The half white later design was manufactured for competing athletes only and never intended for general purchase. The earlier "Team GB Replica Range" by Stella McCartney was for sale and was intended to be something "inspirational and to unite the nation". |

very interesting....
Welcome as new member today - well spotted.
Size 32" and new in its box - would be interesting to know how this was obtained in view of Adidas's assurance about strictly limited availability. Only a matter of time I guess and I predicted an Ebay item before long. Seller is in the north of England and 19 bids so far reaching £35. Eight days to go however and I would even venture a guess to finalise at triple that. This is one of seller's four Team GB items (hooded top, T-shirt and shorts also). |

OK - keep thinking for a suitable post.
Update: Adidas have nothing to add except to say that they can give no account for goods appearing on offer at Ebay. |
