Default What is Speedo Freindly?

What exactly is a Speedo friendly beach? Aren't they all speedo friendly. Afterall, its a beach, you're in a swimsuit.... I've never understood the distinction.

Default "friendly"

Yes, a beach is a big lump of sand next to water and you are wearing your swimsuit there because you wish to swim in that water and/or take in the sun by lying on the sand.

The friendly part applies to other users and not the terrain, ie the people there to enjoy the ambience as you do.

Such people will probably be those who like to wear brief suits also and even if not will be tolerant of those who do. For those who may be a little nervous of the "appropriateness" of the beach they are on, others who know a location well will often use the term to indicate that derision from the anti-speedo brigade is unlikely to be encountered.

I hope I have covered everything (deliberate pun) but no doubt you will see some more posts to add to and/or correct the above.

Default Missed the point

Byron, thanks but I did not need the explanation. My sarcastic question was aimed at making the point that I do not understand why people are so concerned about "friendly" beaches. It's a swimsuit... wear it. If the question was thong friendly, I'd get that. We are talking swim briefs... they show up on TV in swim meets, are seen on guys at pools all over, and are certainly not X rated. Oh sure they have a bulge in front, but hey... we are guys and we got bulges.

Guys, look at how casual these University High School Students are about wearing Speedos. Wearing Speedos is the norm if they are going to play competitive Water Polo, and no one gives it a second thought, I just wish everyone could be as casual about the whole idea as these guys are.

Default Speedo= Swimsuit

D amit-It's just a swimsuit-covers the body enough for modesty-just look as divers "linger" on the board to concentrate on their dive-Everybody knows we got packages there as well as women got breasts-I don't get it about this friendly business and never have. The more we wear our speedos the more others will. There are a lot of "closet" guys just waiting to pull down their shorts and show the briefs they are wearing just waiting for the right time.

Default Great pictures

Cool pictures Sebbie. I love the two with the ball between the guys. Like you said, they are confident and having fun. Exactly the point. Plus, they play a damn good game of water polo. Ah to be that young and having fun!

This is all good information. I have always want to get and wear a speedo in public. I am so sick of wearing those swim trunks. I will for sure get a speedo and wear one to the beach this year.

Default viva speedos !

Yes, great pics Sebbie - they are so relaxed and I think I even see in there a Tom Daley lookalike.

However, simmer down guys - isn't this all a bit OTT when it results simply from words of reassurance expressed by Skippy to Mike and to say something about what to expect when he gets into his new speedos on some NJ beaches ?

Btw I had (wrongly) assumed that my flippant post about lumps of sand would be seen by STS as a sarcastic reply to a sarcastic question.
I happen to agree with all that's been said above and will be interested to see the poll results (although, excuse my stupidity, are we to vote now or simply take note of what seems to have come from an earlier poll?)

Default Do It

Mike-Good for you just do it. You can get a good selection at a reasonable Price at Swim Outlet-Sporti brand. You will feel great about yourself and the freedom you will feel both in and out of the water. Don't be bashful about trying to hide your speedo with shorts or towel- Just kind of act natural as if you were fully clothed-my guess is that other guys there will use you as an example and get up their nerve to do the same thing. If you are lying on the beach sunning don't be concerned about a little wood-it's natural because of your contact of dick with tight fabric-very relaxing-you'll feel sleepy!
