"sheer rating" by aussiebum

I was ordering the classic ice blue 1.5" speedo from the aussiebum website. I later realized that the company has a "sheer rating" from a scale of 1 to 10 as to the transparency of "see thru" of the men's swimwear.

I guess I will have to try them on in the shower and see how I feel about it.

Have you guys come about this sheer rating with other manufacturers of mens swimsuits?

Haven't seen one of those before but apparently AB score the fabric color transparency when wet, starting with black as 1 and going to white as 10.
At a guess I would put ice blue at 9.

I have one of the original Ice and it is pretty see-thru. But fun!
