Has anyone else made the mistake of watching this show? I watched the last 15 minutes of this awful show and it was the longest 15 minutes of my life. The show is hosted by Joey Lawrence and is on the ABC network. I believe its about famous people learning to dive. I remember seeing Kareem Abdul Jabar and Louie Anderson diving. I don't recognize any of the other actors. Greg Louganis is the trainer of these actors. Please tell me I wasn't the only person to waste 15 minutes of my time on this show.

Guilty.
I can't believe anything that bad would appear on network TV.

Ah, the US version of the British Splash TV show has been released, we at least had Tom Daley running the original version.

A C list celebrity has to accept all offers or get forgotten, however badly they are likely to perform and how embarrassing it is for them. They are not always young and fit and able to cope.

OK, I admit I have watched it. I am a swimmer, not a diver. I took an 'advanced' swim class at a local college some years ago, and the instructor asked us if there was anything we'd like to try. I said I just wanted to be able to do a simple dive from the 1-meter board. She had a guy from the college diving team come to the next class, and he worked with us (only about 5 in the class) for a solid hour. For non-divers such as myself, even a simple dive was extremely difficult to learn. I don't care if the divers on "Splash" are C-list - I respect the hell out of them for trying!

I am comforted by the knowledge that I am not the only person that has questionable taste for some TV shows. I will give all the props in this world to those folks who are trying to dive. I do not know of any one thing that could help this show out short of starting over fresh.

After seeing Louie Anderson in the previews, I passed. (thank God he didn't wear a speedo)

That's the episode I watched the last 15 min of I believe. Louie wore board shorts to dive. I wanted to change the channel, I was like a moth drawn to fire, I knew it was bad for me but had to see what happened. I thought I drove that image from my minds eye until I was reminded that was the episode I watched

The episode from last week - Apr. 2 - had a nice surprise. Judge David Boudia (US gold medal diver in London) and coach Greg Louganis were challenged to dive from the 10 meter platform. Both quickly stripped in front of the camera. Louganis still looks fine despite his age (close to mine!), but Boudia stripped to the skimpiest little Speedo (maybe TYR?) suit I've ever seen on US TV - and he just looked smokin' hot! And we got to see the whole picture, not just above the waist! Both executed beautiful dives. So there are some 'rewards' to watching that show.

I am tempted to watch the show again but, it just doesn't appeal to me any longer.

The show is of course low common denominator rubbish but where else is there a chance of seeing anyone in speedos on TV tonight.
