![]() Think moms are ones generally charged with wardrobe decisions for their children so will probably depend on their tastes until kids start making their own fashion decisions.

![]() I think you're right, Mollyk. I do remember that i was given money to buy my first Speedo in 7th grade - the team had a deal with a sporting goods store and we bought them there. That was the first article of clothing that I can ever remember buying on my own (I rode my bike to the store). I don't ever remember choosing my own underwear until high school (but she was with me when we shopped). In terms of Speedos - Mom's have an awful habit of buying clothes a little on the large size (he will grow into them) which is a horrible idea for Speedos as boys need them to fit properly and not be loose.

Yep thats how it went when i decided to switch my then 12 year old into Speedo type swimsuits rather than those baggy shorts.He hated it at the time but not so much anymore. I still think it was a great decision and he'll pick out his own speedo now |
