problem
It would be nice to think that a simple purchase of one of these desirable objects would be possible Louis but rather doubtful I suggest visavis what is the genuine
article and all those people out there with clever advertising who would be so ready with their rip-off sales to convince speedolovers they were getting something special. I had better be careful what I say about Adidas but it is clear for example that many were confused about what were "official issue" suits pre-2012 Olympics - and then what appeared later, to be worn by Team GB in actual competitions. The speedo market is far away from, say , a motor museum which can display an F1 racing car and state with certainty to all who look at it that "this is the car driven by xxxxxxx when he won the xxxxx championship at xxxxx on xxxx" |

A person would have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than to buy the actual garment worn by an Olympian. A nice thought though.

Suits worn by Olympic athletes are like clothing worn by celebrities and historical artifacts.
As previously mentioned, there would be a lot of fakes and rip offs. The only way to guarantee the athenticity of the suits would be to run a DNA analysis like the semen stained dress that was traced to Bill Clinton. |

If you had Olympian DNA you could breed your own Olympic swimmers and divers..... idea from Sheldon Cooper after being given a napkin on which Leonard Nimmoy had wiped his lips.

Found a star trek board that says that Vulcans can swim as shown below, but not certain what they would wear while swim training.

As with most sci-fi and fantasy stories, we're the physically unremarkable but plucky species. Spock also got into the tank with the whales and swam with them. |
