Default Welcome today

OK - you will therefore have two forums but you will see which is the busiest (and another one remains completely empty).
Soton is surely west of Pompey and you will already have a speedo connection
- I think it was diver Pete Watefield (ret'd.) who trained at the local club ? (and
Chris Mears - though I may be getting mixed up with Leeds there)

I was in Portsmouth on Friday evening, so near and yet so far.
Welcome.

Default Portsmouth

Did you have time to walk on the glass floor at the top of the Millennium Tower?
(not easy for the big ferries to turn in harbor there - saw one arriving from Cherbourg on a day of strong gales and she ended up having the RN pull her off a sandbank before disembarkation).

Byron, one of the P&O Bilboa ferries accidently rammed a brand new frigate and wrote her off a few years ago.
After the same ferry running down a yatcht and not stopping P&O stopped using Portsmouth.
Didn't know about the glass floor but saw the tower from a distance.

Default all at sea...

Your reminders bring those stories to mind but cannot recollect the dates and all the details now - my reply is off-topic as I shall soon be in big trouble here on this speedo forum .
