I have one, definitely for sunning. The material stretches when wet, snags easily and wears out fast. Rufskin has the same design made better with better material and fit.

They are actually harder to make than a racing brief, everything has to be stitched in exactly the right places.

On International Jock they are listing the same design Rufskin that is sold by Rufskin as underwear as swimwear. Note the difference in fabric content. The swimwear is a sturdier blend and will support better and hold up better than the underwear. They cost more for a reason - better swimwear fabric.
