I'm thinking about trying something kind of wild when I go to BC next month, it seems the various naturist clubs rent one of the many local pools every Saturday evening for nude swims. You have to be a member of the club but you can join on the spot for $5. Have any of you ever tried this? Is is cool to go alone? What's it like?

There is a tendency for naturist clubs to prohibit the entry of single males. They are on the one hand afraid of straight lone males stealing their wives and girlfriends but also they fear gay men getting in and taking over. Their objective is straight, mixed and monogamous naked leisure with little or no sexual excitement. If you can get in good luck.

Naturist families have largely stopped taking their children to naturist pools and beaches in order to avoid child protection issues. Since parents can't leave children alone at home the parents don't go either. The naturist pool swim will consist of childless couples and older couples whose children have moved on.

Don't be put off by what I've said, try to get in anyway and have a swim. if you are a good swimmer offer to help lifeguard, that sometimes helps.
