Does anyone know where I can get one of the old school HOM micro bikinis? The type that is made of that crunched up type fabric which make the suit look tiny but stretches out when putting on. They were awesome suits and so brief. Got to love the French for their mens and womens bikinis of the 80s.

Quite agree - so difficult to find their excellent little bikinis of the past.
I am rather ignorant here - is the scrunchy material what have been called paper suits in other posts ? (eg Tom Jager pic.) Last edited by Byron : 05-27-2014 at 05:26 AM. |

To be honest I'm not sure. The material was a polyester type but seemed to have lots of creases in it giving it that 'scrunched' up appearance.

I first met HOM in a local House of Fraser department store. (Harrods Group), they sold cotton underwear thongs.
There used to be a swimwear store at Sandbanks, near Bournemouth on the way to the ferry to Studland. I bought a red HOM bikini there but it got stolen in a burglary. They stole my Speedo bag. I later bought yellow and metallic pewter bikinis from the HOM shop at Lakeside shopping centre. All three suits were in Lycra. I dug out and tried on the two HOM bikinis I still have, photos below. This is what HOM made in the 80's and 90's. http://five.flash-gear.com/npuz/puz....775&k=33179340 http://three.flash-gear.com/npuz/puz...518&k=34906930 Around the millennium they went over to big underwear and swimwear and their shop at Lakeside closed. HOM is French and can still be bought on their French website. (last time I looked). Sorry photos are in puzzle mode but it is an easy way of getting them here. |

Give the puzzles time to open, they do work.
