With men's running shorts, it
IS definitely happening here in San Francisco.
There's a jogging path "The Embarcadero" around the waterfront and about 1/2 the guys are wearing traditional (pre 90's) shorts.
By "traditional", I mean at least 1/2 way up from the knees and some are even 2/3 up.
