I wouldn't worry about wearing Speedo swimsuits with anyone, especially a girlfriend. I wear them a lot during the warm summer months and I find that my girl friend secretly likes me wearing them. If your'e in decent shape, good health and really like wearing speedos style swimsuits, I wouldn't be worried about it. I like them as underwear at times under snug shorts and know she likes seeing me in speedos, especially ones that are bright colored. I
know a lot of guys who would rather be wearing speedo, TYR or Arena snug swimsuits than those awful baggy board shorts and they are in good shape too. I do especially enjoy wearing speedos when I'm with her, knowing she will be stripping them off me, even if wearing them as underwear.
