It took Dylan awhile to come down from where he was only a couple minutes ago, both psychologically and physically. Dylan felt really drained now, both literally and figuratively. Dylan kept rolling over and over in his head the events that had transpired, from that first encounter seeing Bill and Joe in the Dorm hallway in their gear, to all of the stuff that had transpired since then, with each of the events seemingly playing a role that ultimately led to the most powerful orgasm Dylan had ever had.

And the orgasm happened not in some partner sex contact, either straight or gay, but while Dylan was just there alone in his dorm room. This is not how any book that Dylan had ever read on the subject portrayed how it was supposed to be. The books Dylan read said that solo sex, aka “masturbation” was something little kids, like kids maybe 12 or 13 years old, did when their parents and siblings weren’t looking to have a little fun until they were old enough for a real emotional relationship with a sexual partner. These books always portrayed masturbation in any form as an inferior alternative to “real” sex, something done maybe by young boys during and immediately after puberty, and maybe older boys who were socially challenged with respect to relating to others, nerdy older boys who were not capable of making successful emotional binds with a real person.

Then there are the teen-age stories and bullying that link masturbation with a young boy being gay. If a guy is discovered masturbating by a peer male, he is frequently teased and bullied as being a gay jerk-off. No guy at 13 or 14 wants to be labeled this way in school, and hence the secrecy young guys have about their masturbation habits, despite the fact that increasingly practically every young male deep down believes that practically all of his male buds are probably doing the same thing on the sly. Why? Because it is simply too much fun to NOT be doing it! Young guys just don’t exchange any information about this practice because there are too many personal risks involved, and any exchange of information would reveal too much personal information.

A guy often thinks about what would happen if, perhaps accidentally, he discovered a male friend jerking off. This becomes a particular issue for two males in a double dorm room. Clearly, no college student is going to be able to make it through 4 years of college without ever getting off. That is unrealistic. College men like to convey the impression that they are having regular sex with female dates on Friday and Saturday nights, and that this sexual release is more than enough for them. And perhaps some of them are accomplishing this, but 95 percent likely are not. That would be a lot of partner sex, and only a small percentage of college males are prepared to get that involved with a female partner at that stage in their lives.

So, college males must be masturbating too, and probably a lot. It is simply unrealistic to think otherwise, unless you assume that college males are brain-dead or that 19-year old guys universally do not love jerking off.

What exactly is going on in each dorm room containing two males is not exactly clear. I suppose one possibility is that both guys masturbate surreptitiously under the covers in the middle of the night, but is it even possible to keep secret what a guy is up to if his roommate is in a bed only a few feet away? This in an interesting puzzle to try and unravel for sure. The solution might be very well different in each of the dorm rooms as the roommates cope with their urges in the face of not having significant privacy.

In our story, so far we have seen two ideas. Dylan waited till his roommate Joshua (Josh) went home for the weekend and then took advantage of the dorm room privacy. But Josh will be back to the Dorm room in time for Monday’s classes. Is Dylan going to reveal anything about what he has been doing? And what if Josh should accidentally see one or more of Dylan’s “play items.” How will Dylan answer the obvious questions? Did Dylan get all the cum stains washed off the dorm room floor?

Bill and Joe have long been in a much different situation. Bill knows what Joe likes to do and Joe is well aware of at least some of what Bill enjoys doing. That situation alone is almost incomprehensible for male high school buddies where secrecy is the key to survival. We can assume also that Bill and Joe are each more than a little turned on by this realization, and further, that neither of them are opposed to seeing the other in an obvious state of arousal. But what makes this really interesting is that both Bill and Joe think of themselves as straight. Determining the meaning of all of this for both Bill and Joe is an interesting puzzle.

Then there is Tony and Donovan, the rowing team members. Bill, Joe and Dylan have been thinking that there was at least a possibility that Tony and Donovan are also a gay couple. Tony and Donovan share an enthusiasm for exercise, physical fitness, and in general looking really good in tight-fitting clothing, and their rowing team membership enhances that. From Bill and Joe’s perspective, physically, Tony and Donovan are everything Bill and Joe would like to be. But in addition, Tony and Donovan also seem completely at ease and casual with each other and their bulging muscles and groin areas. This ease has affected Dylan to a degree as well.

And what of my readers? Why are you still reading these chapters, anyway? As mature audience literature goes, there has not been a single instance of sex with a partner. There is a rule somewhere that says every piece of adult literature should include a partner-focused sexual encounter described in detail every 5-7 pages. This is not that at all. Mainly this story is about guys who are struggling with new adulthood in an assortment of ways. To the extent that my writing is successful, I suspect it is because of two things. First, I’m covering complicated issues for guys that have almost never been addressed elsewhere. Secondly, my fervent hope is that in reading all of this, you will get to experience some of the sensations my characters are experiencing in your own minds and bodies, but particularly in your own groin area. If I accomplish this, I am successful, and the story must continue.
