It’s funny how all of this works! Guys frequently like to act as if they are completely oblivious as to what clothes other guys are wearing, and this is doubly true when what the other guys are wearing is made of a Lycra/Spandex fabric, and fits really tight. Of course, every guy is keenly aware of anything that fits really snug in the groin area. All of this is learned at a very early age, perhaps before puberty when the guy is only 8 or 10 years old, maybe earlier. Guys just learning that their penises are sensitive to touching and rubbing get this (crazy?) idea that wearing clothing that fits snuggly around their penises, particularly a slick-and-stretchy fabric, might generate some interesting and fun feelings as well. So a lot of guys at a very early age go on a quest to find clothing that will stimulate them in these ways, something as an experiment, of sorts. Of course, guys are also almost invariably reluctant (embarrassed) to admit that they have these interests to their parents or to their peer males of similar age. That is part of what makes the entire situation so interesting but also more than a bit scary.

By the time a guy reaches the age of Bill, Joe, Tony and Donovan, they have already probably had the opportunity to run an assortment of different experiments involving their bodies and snug-fitting clothing of various kinds. Finally away from their parents, college guys have the opportunity to try some stuff that they were likely too embarrassed to try when they were living at home. Sometimes, the idea of having a dorm room roommate there on a constant basis makes college guys reluctant to do as much experimenting with all of this as they might be interesting in doing if they were living alone. Bill and Joe obviously got over this and worked their way out of any inhibitions they might have initially had about revealing all of this to each other as dorm room roommates. A lot of the inhibitions relate to the guy’s often deeply hidden beliefs that these interests might suggest to the roommate that the guy is a closeted gay person.

So, here is the problem or issue. Nearly every guy is deeply curious about the entire issue of whether or not his feelings, and ultimately sexual orientation is the same or not the same as that of his peer males. This rather drives everything a teen male thinks about and does in this regard. One of the key components of all of this is whether or not the other guys get the same or similar sensations and are struggling with the same problems or issues such as erections at inopportune or inappropriate times, the occasional ejaculation as a consequence, etc. etc. The clothing issue relates to whether the other guys are all able to tolerate getting into certain clothing items but I am not…jock straps, brief style swimwear , compression shorts, and now wrestling and rowing singlets. Guys always find it interesting to quietly observe the others guys getting into these kinds of gear in part to determine exactly whether or not the other guys have each resolved the potential problems at hand, in particular, observed evidence of erections, drops of pre cum etc etc. Or does all of this somehow get resolved and as the guy reaches young adulthood, all of this is somehow disappears, attention turns instead to increasing interest in finding a specific partner for sexual stuff. In short, as a guy reaches adulthood, all of this stuff regarding snug-fitting clothing perhaps gradually becomes less and less important.

Maybe, but Maybe not. Bill and Joe were certainly observing Tony and Donovan in their rowing singlets, all of them. Nearly every guy irrespective of sexual orientation has this side of fascination with how the other guy’s penis is faring in snug fitting clothing and what might be happening to the other guy as a consequence, and the rowing singlet is something new, something neither Bill nor Joe in their young lives had ever observed before. Bill and Joe are also wondering about how their own bodies would fare in a rowing singlet.

Bill and Joe are now asking Tony and Donovan where they got their singlets, clearly wondering where they found them. Tony’s response:

“These are tough to find in the sporting goods stores. Mine is an asics branded singlet. They are readily available on Amazon on line.”

Now Bill and Joe need to figure out how to place an Amazon order from their dorm room, and get he singlets put on a credit card, and delivered to their room. Certainly this is not something that either of them would want to mail to their permanent home addresses.

Meanwhile Dylan has been quietly watching all of this, saying nothing. Dylan is no different from any other guy his age with many of the same thoughts and ideas racing through his head. Dylan is “interested” too about what he thinks might be going on with the others, but maybe just a little scared too. But he is also starting to get “ideas” in his head.
