Bede,

In my personal story that I wrote about my becoming a serious swimmer, I said that while in Hawaii 4 years ago at age 64 decided that I was too old to wear speedos, only to realize later that I needed to lose weight to look good in a speedo. Now, at 2 days short of 68, 23 pounds lighter, and having become a serious swimmer, I feel that as long as I look OK in a speedo and continue to swim, I will wear one. I'm fortunate in that I don't have many wrinkles and while I don't have any abs to speak of, my stomach is flat, I don't have any overhang of flab, and I don't have any of the sag that comes with advancing age. I'm also like STS in that I've come to love the look of the colors and prints of some of the speedos I've bought since I started swimming so for me, that's a draw as well to continue to wear them.
