Team GB Replica "Group Buy"
 

So a few expressed interest, and a few express concern, with creating a replica Team GB suit. I'm going to play dumb and see if I can get someone to make them for us. Here's the design I've got so far...feel free to suggest changes and we can vote before we order. I believe I need 12 to make an order, then I can ship them out once I receive them.

Price would be around $36USD

Darn only 3 were interrested including me.
your suggestion is very close to the same as thr GB
sut except that the turbo logo replaces the adidas logo.
why just three of us is interrested is beyound me.
Anyway Agonswim.com can also make the same suit with same design excepr that the agonswim logo would be there instead of the turbo or the adidas logo
let me know what you think.

well, it would be an SRSport logo, as they were who I was using for the suit. How's the cut on an Agonswim suit? I really like SRSport's cut

CHECK agonswim.com you will get better instructions and descriptions then i could. i have a few and they are moreb the best 1quality and are excellent to the feel and very well made.

I dug around Agonswim's site and found 1 HS team who has used the Euro Brief suit. I like what I see, but I'd really like a demo suit to look at the sides before we commit to them. I'm not committed to any company at this time...I just have an S&R Sport suit that I like the cut of, so was going to go with what I know. I'm down for a group vote once we get the minimum required order.

NP I want to wait until the insurance settles. It was a bad accident. I havent been able to do much but work since it tho. I miss my beach days and hope I can do them soon. Even tho I am in the us It wouldnt hurt to have a team GB suit...

I ordered an Agonswim Euro brief, and I'm actually quite disappointed. It's not even water-polo "skimpy". It's normal 3" sides.

That being said, If we can get 12 people in on this, I'll be using SRSport.com for production.

Any others interested? Feedback on the design?

you didint go to the right place on the agonswim.com site and ordered the right suit, you ordered the wrong suit.
its simple go to google type in the search bar agonswim.com then once on the site click on GENDER ON THE RIGHT SIDE UPPER PAGE THEN THEN SCROOL DOWN YOU WILL SEE A COMPLETE DESCRIPTION OF THERE 2 AND A HALF SIDES AND LESS SUITS, CHECK IN PARTICULAR THE STREAMLINE AND THE SPEEDLINE, AND MORE THAT INCLUDES SOLID COLORS PATERNED ETC SUITS, CHECK OUTHER FEATURES ON THYERE SITE AND YOU WILL SEE THAT HUNDREDS OF TEAMS ALL OVER THE WORLD ORDER SUITS FROM THEM, (thats not for nothing) (im not trying to sell suits for them but you did ask for suggestions) REALLY THERE IS NO OUTHER SWIMWEAR SITE THAT IS SO COMPLETE THEN THERES THAT I KNOW OF, ON SUCH A SITE YOU HAVE TO DO A LOT OF CLICKING TO GET A CLEAR VIEW OF ALL THERE FEATURES.
BTW I INCLUDED MYSELF ON THE LIST NO MATTER WHERE YOU GET THE GB SUIT.

In their custom ordering process, they suggest ordering a grab bag suit of the style you want for sizing, so I ordered a Grab Bag Water Polo Euro suit (the skimpiest they appear to offer), and I don't think I got the right one, because if you compare it to the only picture of it they have, the guys wearing the suit have the skimpier sides (2in)

Maybe I'll email them?

YOU OF COURSE NEED NOT DO THIS ITS JUST THAT IM SURE THAT YOU WILL FIND THE SUIT ACCORDING TO YOUR PLANS THERE AND CHEAPER

I called Nick and spoke with him. I've now sent him the design with the specification that I'd like the 2" sides vs whatever it is I received when I ordered their "euro" brief.

Well doen , it may not turn out ok be its a try you never know.

Ok, I heard back from Nick, and he says the suit I received is their version of "euro", which is close to the U.S. version of what I've heard called "Cali-cut" with 4" sides. I, personally, am displeased with this, so I'd like to stick with Turbo or SRSport.com

That being said, we still need 12 to do the order :/

Could a mailshot be sent the membership giving them cut-off date after which the project would be abandoned?
It might spur a few people into action, or at least put the issue to bed for those that have expressed an interest.

I think only a board admin can do that. but I support it :) I'll commit to 2 ( so we only need 3 more ) if we can get those soon.
