and by the way, how do you know it's Vuthy?

I looked on Vuthy's website (which apparently doesn't sell to the public directly), but couldn't anything similar.

Lol Looking Down At His Speedo Like He Is Doing He Seems To Be Saying Wow What A Nice Bulge I Have Lol.

Vuthy Florida

You have to go here Joe: https://greatdealsdist.com/site/

Jellyfish is there - along with lots and lots of pics on other brands I have never heard of (and some exotic designs I have never seen for what are more flesh than fabric !)

afewgoodmen 03-31-2014 01:33 AM

lots of brands

wow, never knew so many brands existed.

Thanks Byron!

Byron 04-03-2014 07:48 AM

club?

http://24.media.tumblr.com/89de74e6d...pf4io1_400.jpg

This pic of a swimmer in blue is captioned "never seen a speedo as small as this before".
He wears it well but it is tantalising not to see his club emblem properly on the top of his
swim-cap. It is a roaring lion's head in black - does anyone recognise such a team?
(it is written also as ........something......swimming)

louis 04-03-2014 11:03 AM

Torchwatch a raison c est un thong, pas un string.
Is not a string a long thin cord, if the sides of the garmrnt is wider then a string then it has to be a thong, am i right Torchwatch.

re.post#25

LOL - the more I look at this the more I am convinced it is a female garment. For one thing photos always present the front for advertising underwear/swimwear and as a piece of decoration the little embellished tricolor would be expected to be seen at the front when wearing it , and not lost down a male butt crack at the rear.
Therefore do we regard this as a woman's thong despite the photo caption "Le String"?
The explanations "lingerie feminine/maillot de bain/un simple cache-sexe" appear here:
http://dictionary.reverso.net/french-definition/string

(I can trace no definition of string as male apparel and
just to add my own little complication to the discussion I would regard a cache-sexe as
a male posing pouch (with string) as depicted in what I believe are called vintage for the
physique photos of the Fifties).

Torchwatch 04-03-2014 05:39 PM

Attempted Definitions

A G string (or posing pouch) has a pouch front, a strip of elastic waist band, and a strip of elastic rear, that passes through the ass crack. The elastic may be replaces with actual string, but this has to be tied to the correct tension.

A thong has a pouch front and a much reduced fabric rear that passes though the ass crack. The waist elastic and 2 leg elastic loops are built into the fabric of the suit. A thong is come comfortable than a G string as it doesn't have a cheese wire effect on rear of the wearer.

A string bikini is a side-less swimsuit with a fabric front and back held together with an elastic or string waist band. The rear may vary from a Brazilian to a full cut, but must cover the ass crack (or it would be a thong), although a low cut string bikini may expose the top of the ass crack.
String bikinis using string need to have the side strings tied to the correct tension, while an elastic string bikini may have the elastic sides enclosed in fabric for a good finish.
Some brands use assorted hooks etc to join the sides and decorate the suit.
The underwear version of a string bikini is sometimes called a Tanga.

The more one attempts to define swimwear the more difficult it becomes due to regional and language variations.

what's in a word...

 Good effort Tw and difficult indeed. Since last posting I have managed to trace my source for the particular item (neutral word) in white, viz:

Louis: how do you translate Le string sigle FN...?

Byron 04-04-2014 02:20 AM

Amendment

Forget string - just explain sigle FN

Byron 04-04-2014 09:34 AM

yummy in orange

(re.post#5)

I think I will just call this a tight-fit tiny bikini (he's wet so must have tested it in water):

From the way the straps disappear round his hips and the narrowness of the under crotch I'm guessing its a thong! However...... Yummy indeed, I'm liking that suit, just the right amount of coverage.

I don't know how to name this - a string mankini perhaps?

Take away the waist/hip strings and I'll take one !!!

It could be female as virtually no front and a bit of bum coverage - but turn around and it could be male as a thong with part disappearing down the butt crack, could it not?

There is no front dart to accommodate a guy, not only that only the gusset is lined this would make me think its a girls thong.

Byron 04-04-2014 03:38 PM

from the brief to the odd...

http://mediaserver.dwpub.com/press-r...p+Trunks+4.jpg

Not exactly yummy but you do get two yellow speedos here.
To explain (and perhaps of more interest to Torchwatch) it was Water Safety Awareness Week in the year of the Olympics. Nick Robinson-Baker (Team GB diver) was doing his bit to gain publicity on behalf of the RLSS (Royal Life Saving Society).

I second that HotBunz!!! Exactly the perfect coverage. Would be nice to see this at a hotel pool. Other guest at the hotel would look down at the pool and smile. A hot bikini like this would shine from miles away!

orange again

With regard to posts #51 & #57 these look like two great suits. Not a colour I would usually go for, however I'm changing my mind! really like the cut on both of them. If anyone here can point me in the right direction to a maker or perhaps knows of someone who could do them as a custom job I'd be very interested. I'm in the UK, London area.

Byron 04-09-2014 07:46 AM

custommade

Torchwatch may be reading this and he knows quite a bit about fabrics

Torchwatch 04-09-2014 05:44 PM

Hi Hotbunz , I have some orange wet look Lycra and can make anything you want.
See skinnykid's photos of the triathlon briefs I made for him, would the style of the black and metallic blue suit suit you?
The system seems to have archived or lost them as older threads.
Perhaps skinnykid could repost his photos for you, might be inappropriate to repost without his permission.

Re, post #45

A fellow team member here by the look of it (in blue Nike) - but this time more of the black lion head shows on his swimcap. Can anyone also read the sentence printed ?

Re. last line - for Joe: http://24.media.tumblr.com/5c307d494...xxjio1_500.jpg
This looks like the same guy in another Vuthy suit. I find no rear shots but fronts and rears are in the GreatDeals website illustrations.

Byron 04-14-2014 03:27 AM

yellow speedo

This one needs some ID as it shows with an unusual brand logo of what may be a (not very clear) koala's head and with a black side-seam tag:
http://37.media.tumblr.com/73d231b3d...oz99o1_500.jpg

Byron 04-16-2014 11:01 AM

.....another for Joe

Very neat Vuthy brief again - fits well and with a nice print:

Btw, a good page to illustrate Vuthy is hard to find but designs are quite well
depicted here (and some on Amazon too):

louis 04-16-2014 11:12 AM

Carioca

They seem to have some nice low-cut sungas in their range now and this one is limonade with dog in blue instead of red:

The Rio briefs are VERY nice. Heavy nylon/lycra and fit better than any others I have.

Rio

Good to hear ...... have long been looking out for a comment on them on the forum.

For CA Rio swimwear... http://cariocawear.com Sold out of California, USA, but says made in Rio. Interesting, but a tad expensive.

New York Skyline..

I like the print and that is the name I should have applied to the design as posted in #64.
Vuthy seem to have expanded the range and it's worth a look at several designs on http://www.pinterest.com/vuthys/vuth...mens-swimwear/
