I don't cut liners out often but,
sometimes ask her to cut the liner out for me.

I did it once and there was too much detail visible -- especially when wet. I kind of feel that it looks like it is kind of an insecurity and a need to show it off to prove something. A little mystery is nice.
I don't see how removing it would make the suit fit better if it is too tight. Maybe the next size larger is the answer.

I totally agree!, it becomes too revealing

It depends on the fabric and the color. Whether revealing is appropriate depends on the situation.

I think it's cool that we have many ages and sexual preferences coming together to talk about our common love of speedos and spandex gear.

No liner

I buy with no liner. I like everybody to see my manhood.

Every time I've cut out the liner from a spandex suit, the suit lost it's shape and no longer fit, or looked, well.

So, like most everyone has said, it's best to get the suit the way you want it to wear, considering not only color but also the transparency factor, both dry and wet.

I continue to cut out liners from shorts, such as side-split running shorts. I might wear a g-string under them, but most of the time I go commando.

If after all the advice you have received on here you are still determined to cut out the liner of your speedos then you should consider downsizing or choose a pair of briefs that you have grown out of but the fabric and elastic are still in good order.
If you cut the liner out of already loose speedos you will end up with droopy drawers.
To cut out a liner you need to make an initial incision using pointed dress making scissors, then raid your first aid kit for round ended first aid scissors. They are usually quite sharp, being designed to cut fabric but with round ends you are less likely to damage the Lycra fabric of your swim suit.

I find that removing the liner causes the suit to lose its shape.
A good compromise is the Slugger swimsuits which have a partial liner and have a great fit and very comfortable, good quality also
