View Full Version : What did you do in a speedo today?

Today I wore a speedo 1-inch shoreline red brief at the pool for swimming 2000 yards. Great fit and looks more athletic than the regular speedo solar (has side stripes).

ARe you talking about the 1" solar they sell on swimoutlet. does the truly measure to be 1" on the sideseam? It sure doesn't look like it in the pics they have posted on the site.
Mind sending a pic? I was thinking about buying one..but didn't feel like it was skimpy enough :)

Couldn't find SwimOutlet's 1" Solar - though their availability these days seems to be more on Ebay than shown by swimsuit suppliers.
Btw, if skimpy is required I previously forgot to mention Joe Snyder:

I'm not much for posting pictures.
Solar is just about 1" at the side seam, but doesn't stay narrow very far.
It's as skimpy as I am willing to go whenever I have to wear anything.

My solar is more like 1.5" at the seam and it hides the detail well. It is one of the more modest suits in my collection as it minimizes my buldge not accentuates it...

Earlier today, I was asked if I could send a picture of myself to someone who was interested, so I took three: one in a 2.5" blue pattern speedo, one in a 2" solid green one, and one in a sort of black posing strap.
My screen name was a compromise shorthand for Old Goat in Speedos as I just turned 53.

After a nice long stroll on zuma beach I took a nice doze in my speedo. While I was walking on the shoreline I saw a man quickly dash out of the ocean into his towel (I don't know if it was to avoid looks from a group of 4 women) wearing a bright red skimpy bikini (Brazilian back at max)... To each our own I guess.

One man in a bright red skimpy bikini (Brazilian back at max) may seem a bit odd, a dozen men in bright red skimpy bikinis (Brazilian back at max) looks like a team, while a hundred men in bright red skimpy bikinis (Brazilian back at max) becomes normal. Only by being prepared to be that first man on the beach this morning can we push the envelope.

In california most of the guys wear boardshorts that go to their ankles... It didn't seem odd to me (because I obviously am willing to wear the same thing) but to some it is odd and it can be intimidating too. In a bikini more so than a speedo you will get looks, quips, and people taking pictures of you. I dont mind as they are usually positive, inquisitive, or humorous but I have got the "ick" and "what a freak too". It can be intimidating to many which is why they cover up when too many people start coming by...

Zuma not for the speedo-friendly beach list I take it.
A big contrast to learn of such conservatism (not to mention downright lack of good manners of course) in a state where all the wacky things of the USA are assumed by many to originate.

Lol I wouldn't say that as everybody I saw there was cordial. Most minded their own business. Where you will find nasty people is Santa monica/Venice or Redondo. Oddly the more conservative aeras are pretty cool about it. In fact In Laguna I stumbled across a cove with more speedo wearers then boardie guys. Many Conservatives out here are different from the norm in that they are open to many things many others arent.

I wore my bright light blue Desmiit briefs with running shorts type sides. They fit nicely but I could feel them riding low at the back during turns. They have an outside waist cord at the front which I tucked in while swimming.

Torchwatch's blue Dermaati may be the low cut style and I like the allusion to running shorts in that design. It occurs to me however that they might displace at the turns as there would be considerable water pressure at the rear down the butt crack at the moment of kicking off the pool wall (or I may be speaking only of my own very clumsy tumble-turns).
Btw, does the total distance comprise 30@50m or 60@25m ?
(ie Olympic length or otherwise)

The Desmiit brief did not feel as if it was falling off or exposing too much at the turns, I just felt the pressure of the waistband across the top of my cheeks.
I trained at Strood Leisure Centre last night, they have a 25m pool, the nearest 50m pool is at Chrystal Palace although the 2012 Olympic Park comes in a close 2nd.

Been to Crystal Palace just once (and showing its age now unfortunately).
Thought I would show off a bit with our local piece of sports development by the local authority. The 80 years old Lido was left to rot for years and then, not only did we get a splendid refurbishment (it was by then nationally Listed as of Special Scientific or Historic Interest), but a new OLYMPIC size indoor pool alongside as well ! Now been going for three years - the pic shows the white building at the left, which is the original cafe and within all the dark glazing behind are the new 50m pool, gym and sports halls.

I often read about speedo friendliness. Ask yourself are you "speedo friendly? To be a friend of your speedo you have to wear it almost anywhere. Take the pool, beach or backyard. Why shouldn't you wear it around the yard or on your lawn tractor if you want to. At the beach-don't go to a distant more isolated area- find a place in the crowd. Put down your blanket or towel say hi to your neighbors and walk to the water and swim. When you get out engage people near you in conversation-you will start to feel self assured and they will enjoy their speedo guy.At the pool engage the guard in conversation and your lane mates. I guarantee that you soon will feel home with yourself and surroundings and you will be just in your brief suit maybe even with just the beginning of wood-which is not that bad as it leads not only to your increaed confidence but in theirs. Most people like to be around ones that are sure of themselves because that makes them more "daring too" Life's too short to not enjoy your body and it's comfort. You are not the center of the universe after all. Be speedo friendly yourself-just do it. JVT

It was a nice warm summer day and I wanted to wear my new sky blue speedo briefs, feeling nice and snug. I was going swimming , but was told I had to go to the doctor's for a delayed medical examination. I already had my sky blue speedo briefs on,under a pair of Men's European short, shorts. and they fit me very well. I never got to go to the pool,so I took another pair of trousers and boxer shorts with me. I went to the doctor's office, still snug in my sky blue speedo swim briefs and tan colored short, shorts and I felt great in them. I got to the doctor's office, waiting almost a half hour, yet enjoying the feeling of my speedo and shorts. I was getting an erection too. Soon A young male nurse called me into the examination room, disappointing, no lady nurses. He was a nice looking guy and admired how attractive, I was for a guy in his late 30's. He really liked my European shorts, especially how they fit. He said I may have to strip them off with whatever you are wearing underneath. The doctor came in explaining why this was the only time for him to see me. He asked me to turn around, complementing my summer attire. I now had a full hard under my speedo and shorts, it was noticed by him and the male nurse. He said I would have to strip naked, with the help of his nurse. If needed. First I was weighed, height measured, blood pressure taken. it was all okay, my dick was fully erect now, knowing my shorts and speedo will be coming off and I was going to be naked for these guys. The doctor then said "Start stripping it all off" I did blush, being told to keep my hands over my head when the nurse began to unbutton and unzip my short shorts. I wasn't giving up my speedo that easy, as now my summer shirt was off. I could feel the tight shorts being pulled off me by the nurse, as the doctor was watching. Now only in snug sky blue speedo I stepped out of the shorts. I got another look over by the doctor, preparing to do my full exam. His male nurse was looking with enjoyment at the tight speedo, outlining my full erection. He said" that speedo swim suit has to come off too". I blushed some more then fumbled with my speedo waist band, then he told me to put my hands over my head again. This was the fun part for him as he reached under the waist band, uncovering the draw string then slowly untied it. I wiggled and squirmed trying to stop him from untying the speedo draw string, to no avail, my speedo was coming off. Now he was pulling on sky blue colored waist band, giving my squirming body, front and rear wedgies, oh what a sensation, yet not letting him get my speedo off me. He firmly pulled and tugged on the tightly clinging blue nylon as I pleaded not take it off. He was having fun trying to get my healthy and firm body naked. Soon he had me over taken, as I felt my speedo slowly come off my upper waist. The doctor was also having fun watching my plight. Slowly his male nurse was getting my speedo briefs down as I still wiggled, squirmed and yelping like a little boy "No,no, I want my speedo! don't it off!", to no avail, he had it rolled down below my waist, looking like a bikini, with the dangling draw string, my full hard on,and and behind still encased in sky blue speedo. It was slow going and taking a lot of his energy stripping off my tight swim suit, I stopped wiggling as the doctor now restrained me. I then crossed my legs, feeling his hands firmly peeling the clinging tight nylon off my my fully erect dick. I just let out a cry "Ohhhh" as it was freed from the blue nylon, now standing up at attention. The male nurse then turned me around facing the exam room curtain, bending me over with my behind and balls still encased in blue speedo. he continued pulling my speedo off, getting my behind and balls unsnugged. I now felt the last clinging tight nylon slip out of my crotch, letting out a last cry of resistance. The doctor let me loose as the nurse peeled my tangled sky blue speedo, down my crossed legs, then freeing my ankles and feet from the beautiful blue speedo swim suit. The doctor did my exam and all went well. As I changed into the boxers, my dick went limp, then putting my speedo in the clothes bag. I love my speedo swim suits and want to wear them often. I give them up and off only when I'm ready. This what happened to me wearing my speedo today.

I'm a relatively new but active member and had visited the board for quite a while before joining, so I feel like I have the right to express my opinion Byron. It would be so much kinder and less provocative if you simply said to Swim Suit Eddie that you don't like very graphic stories with content you've read before. That's your opinion. Why not leave it at that rather than writing a post intending to unfairly provoke STS and insult Swim Suit Eddie. Now that's just my opinion.

I indicated nothing in my question* (no insult - unless re-hash is such in your opinion) about a dislike of very graphic stories - just as I have never used the word liar (IMHO an OTT exclamation which is rather "provocative").
If we are mature males on the forum we really must temper this drama-queen style of inaccurate reaction.
LOL - substitute the word graphic with boring and I agree with you
(the farce there is that the author is almost plagiarising himself).
Btw, I don't follow what "removal of words" is all about.

With regard to the other concern about choice of words, perhaps certain words (insult, graphic, etc.) we're not used, but the tone of the post did not strike me as positive. And it you have a point to make about any post, why bring someone else into it by innuendo who has nothing to do with it?

Someone asked me about the beach north of Calais, here is my answer if it may help others:
An internet guide told me that the long beach north of Calais was naturist and quite gay.
I have been there several times and found it very quiet each time.
There is a cycle path running the length of this beach giving access to the sand paths to the beach itself.
At the south end is the Centre Jacques Ferry, there is limited parking here, I would approach from here.
There are accessible big gun position bunkers in the dunes here if you like history.
The beach itself is huge with a lighthouse on stilts to the north. As I had a mountainbike loaded with camping gear I stayed close to the Centre Jacques Ferry, but was able to hide in the dunes or be visible as I chose.
On the main beach in Calais, heading south there were loads of square-cuts and many speedos outnumbering those in long shorts on the beach, almost no one with shorts below the knees.
If you want to go naked, or wear something really brief go to Berck sur Mere. You are free to wear whatever you want to there and be appreciated for the effort and effect.

I didn't choose to swim with sea lions, they chose to swim with me. They were able to outswim and out-dive me, they could dive behind a wave and surface when and where they wanted to. In the interest of continuing this thread after over a month of no posts, what I did in my speedo today was to swim a full mile for the second time. I wore my Turbo Ipanema ( thanks again to Turbofan and STS for turning me on to Turbos) the same suit I wore for my first mile swim. I think the Ipanema is my motivational suit; whenever I wear it, I feel like I can just keep on swimming.
What did then rest of you do today in your speedos? Anyone else loving Turbos?

I swam in a very cold lake, my Turbo print swimsuit covered by a wet suit in 55 degree water. After, I shed the wetsuit, enjoyed hot coffee and a warm blanket wrapped around my Turbo clad body. A few cups later my parts came back, my bulge grew normal. By then I was off to harvest crop.

I swam laps in my US Flag Turbo suit (thanks again to STS and Dooley67 for turning me on to Turbos).

Dooley, I got to swim my first mile in my 20's, I decided I needed a new challenge and signed up for a Lifesaving course. I have retrained and taken First Aider, Beach Lifeguard and Health and Safety courses since then, saving the lives of 5 people (one an infant actually in water) and had an award from the Police.
Putting on Speedos and going for a long swim can change your life.

55 degree water - ouch!! Gotta love living in Maine. For those who don't know about Maine seasons, there are only two - winter and the 4th of July.

That's a very inspiring story Torchwatch. Those 5 people were lucky you were there. Speedos and a long swim have changed my life in a far less dramatic way, but the experience has proved to me that I can set an athletic goal, challenge myself, and meet that goal, and get fit in the process.

When I finished my laps yesterday I got out of the pool and doubled over in pain. After a quick trip to emergency it was established I had a blocked bile duck out of my gall bladder and would need surgery. I was transferred to a table and rolled into surgery and had the gall bladder removed. The entire time no one had stopped long enough to realize i was clad in nothing but a 1" red nylon Aussiebum. When I woke in my room later I was in a hospital gown and the suit was gone. That evening a male nurse came by to see if I was ok and to tell me that my sexy speedo was in the night stand drawer. Somehow I think that he was a little too interested in my welfare -- surgical nurses don't usually visit patients after surgery in their rooms.

I swim every day in my Turbo (Australian Polo Team) - I dont't understand their sizing-I have 35 waist but take XL-Can't imagine those guys on teams all have smaller waists-if so what do they make 3 other smaller sizes-all smaller. Maybe theirs are special made. I do think they are indestructable-no wear so far after more than 50 miles!

Wow PSDave - glad you are OK! And to be rushed to the hospital in a little Speedo - I'll bet a few of the hospital staff found that quite unique and interesting, although I'm sure they've seen just about everything!

Went for a bike ride, as I have hundreds of times. I love the feeling of freedom attained from pedaling around in a Speedo (it really was a Speedo today), and the benefit of the exercise. Quite a few years ago, I jumped on my bike while I was already in Speedos, and was overwhelmed by how great it felt. Been doing 1500-2000 miles a year in speedos since. I don't think my neighbors like it as much as I do, but, that's life

You are lucky your little speedo didn't get the snip. Hospitals have a tendency to cut clothes off patients, it is so much quicker and easier than undressing an unconscious body.

PSDave,
Glad you are all right after the emergency surgery and fortunate that you went to an ER that diagnosed quickly. An added bonus was that you didn't lose your Aussiebum. Heal well and quickly.

Thank You guys for your kind words I am happy to say the mending has gone very well. They did the new type of arthoscopic (SP) surgery were they only made 4 small incisions and then removed the gall bladder thru the navel. The upper chest incisions healed nicely, the navel is healing slower. Happily no ugly 6" scar across my gut.
The experience of arriving at a hospital almost naked was quite the experience. Talk about being the only one wearing a speedo!!! I think it helped that the nurse/orderly that seemed to be enamored by the suit was largely responsible. They may have gotten lost otherwise. When it was time to go home that was all I had to wear as I was wheeled out of the hospital. My new friend seemed to really enjoy it but to me it was like that childhood dream where you are in school in your underwear. Needless to say--i got the stares! The orderly/nurse was most attentive and gave me his number if I need help changing the dressing or emptying the drain bag. He even offered a massage. I did call him a couple times but really didn't feel like "personal nursing". I will call him now and see if the offer still holds for the "massage"
I now have a policy that I take shorts to the pool in case I am ever rushed off to emergency in the future!

PSDave,
I think that's the kind of dream we all have and now you have lived the dream, maybe something you really weren't eager to actually do. Important thing is that you are recovering and healing and you may have also found a friend with benefits in the process.

PSDave,
That experience was very much similar to the online fantasy stories I often read!
If I were you, I won't bring that shorts to the pool :D
Be well!

PSDave,
Glad you are healing well after the surgery hopefully in a couple of months you won't even see the incisions. It's amazing that not too long ago a person would have a big incision scar from that surgery and today only a tiny mark is left.

I'm visiting my sister and her family and friends to celebrate the Jewish New Year outside of Boston. Yesterday we went to their gym, a posh Boston Sports Club. I wore my Sporti water polo brief and was the only one in a brief suit there. I was a little surprised because I thought at a fancy gym, there would be more guys in speedos. It wasn't a great swim - the water temp was 86 degrees and the lanes were shorter so that 3 lengths was 50 yards or 1 lap. I managed to do 60 lengths (20 laps) but was really sweating by the end. On the up side, I did get my laps in and am enjoying our visit here.

So the pool was about 17 yards in length? Interesting - I'm assuming it was an older facility? I swam in a pool in Houston a few years ago - outdoor pool in a park - that was 33 yards in length. That was weird.

Swimmboy,
The pool was 16 and 2/3 yards long and felt very weird. It was hard to keep count of my laps so I just switched to counting lengths to measure my distance. The fitness part of the club was state of the art with a track going around the fitness room above it, but the pool area did look old and had only 3 lanes available to swim laps.
