I don't know what Expedia are playing at but see post#9 already submitted under "need to be fit".
This is supposedly a result which we are now told is a conclusion from a commission undertaken by Harris Polls although you submit here a report of July 2013 which is from someone called an "expedia guest author".
This survey is supposed to come from 8000+ customers questioned from 21 countries - though clearly a big chunk of the world is missing as I have already pointed out.
We have been given the "top five" in speedo tolerance but I did not see and STILL do not see the full league table.
My request to Expedia to see all countries has simply resulted in a PR reply to ask why I want to know.
Just how much we believe from an Aussie travel agency which calls itself the biggest and likes a lot of p.r. hype , I leave to you.

Expedia are selling holidays.
Speedo friendly locations sell holidays.
Go where the speedos are and buy a holiday from Expedia.
This is Speedo Tourism.....

.....but still doesn't change my distaste at being treated like the village idiot by such operators !

I find it annoying how a speedo is considered much skimpier than a bikini by the average article writer... Now a kolaswim suit. That IS much skimpier.
52 percent seems somewhat accurate. Once I wore one of mine during a very crowded day at Venice beach. I got an outright "ick what a creepy disgusting guy" and a "hey good lookin" in a few minutes...
Have an Expedia story to tell Byron?

What you post reflects the thread on terminology and I have never booked a holiday with that company (and my opinion of marketing copywriters is down alongside second hand car salesmen as you might guess)

The one commenter hit the nail on the head.

In the UK vacuum cleaners are called Hoovers although Hoover haven't made them for years.
Copy writers aren't interested in the accuracy of what they write more in creating a reaction in their readers. To them and therefore the unwashed public speedos are tiny and anything tiny is a speedo.

Are you sure about that?

Hoover in the UK got bought out by an overseas rival, everything is imported and re-branded. The old Hoover factory not far from where Byron lives has been demolished.

...didn't know that - it was art deco Listed and Tesco took it as a supermarket.
Funny old world - the Dyson Turbo guy took his manufacturing to Malaysia for lower wage costs.

Seems unlikely - it's Grade I which means it's on the same List as Buckingham Palace: http://www.74simon.co.uk/hooverbuilding.html
(might you be thinking of the similar Firestone Tyre factory on the A4?)
