Here in the US we are off work for the entire day. I hope you were able to enjoy yourself in your Speedo last nite. Actually, last night, I switched off and went to a little Y-back 2x(ist) thoing last night. The strap is really snug on that one, and I woke up this morning rock hard. I got to wondering how Swim Team members cope with early morning practices, getting into a little suit and all . I've been up for and hour now and am still not back to normal. And here I am, 64 years old...I cant imagine what my situation would have been at age 15 or 16. But then, I guess I might not have made it through the entire night. Well, I did manage to get myself into my A&F super skinny jeans...headed out to the mall after voting, and then lunch with friends at a nice restaurant.

All the best.

Well, almost. Several years ago I went to vote wearing only my side-split running shorts with no liner; no shirt and in flip-flops.

Well, I think I am right is saying that Charlie Chaplin became a father at the age of 82 so there's hope for all !

Met a Democrat couple from SF last week - they are staying loyal in their election voting but certainly not counting their chickens......

I don't count my chickens, only my Speedos!

I think that some voters in Pennsylvania would not be bothered about counting chickens or speedos - just a reliable voting machine which would correctly record their choice as intended !!

Florida return late as usual but luckily doesn't affect the result through the Electoral College (was it not just 540 votes making a difference in the George Bush fiasco of recent years ?).

BO still has tough time ahead with Congress majority/minority however.

(I shall be accused of US bashing again of course but queuing for six hours to vote seems a bit Third World to me)

this stupid electoral college has to be abolished. As it is, they don't represent the voting population -- the winner by electoral votes may, and have, had less than the majority of actual votes. If the electoral college rules - why should I take the time to vote. What a great system - votes mean nothing - only where they are cast. This administration is well on the road to turning this country to Socialism by side stepping the Constitution and making decisions like borrowing money and going to war without following the current laws. I'm learning Chinese. They are watching us follow in Greece's path of self destruction and will call in their loans as soon as they know we can't cover them. The way they killed the credit rating with the last borrowing binge, take over will be a cake walk for them. If anyone has read the writings of Karl Marx, you will see that this administration is using it as a hand book. (if you don't know history at all, Karl Marx is the Russian that created the Socialist Doctrine that turned Tzarest Russia into the Soviet Union)

If we are talking USSR (CCCP) history I think you will find that it was the Russian Vladimir Lenin who led the October Revolution of 1917 and which resulted in the murder of the Tsar and his family at Ekaterinburg in 1918.
Marx and Engels were German socialist philosophers.
Lenin is in his mausoleum in Moscow and Karl Marx is in his grave in Highgate Cemetery London (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/46/Karl_Marx_Grave.jpg)

I am glad President Obama got re-elected. I think growing up in Hawai'i made him a better person, he has many cultures to draw from: the Polynesian, several Asian cultures, and European. I like to think of him as culturally Hawaiian even if not genetically. He is intelligent, capable, and strong. And he body surfs. Wouldn't President Obama look better in a speedo than Karl Marx or Vladimir Lenin or Newt Gingrich?

Your country needs you (at least BO does)

I don't really know if Obama needs Sebbie or the Republicans do... I think the later. The best way to stimulate the economy is to get people buying by freeing up money in the middle class where it is likely to be spent on new toys...like swimsuits. See, all the world's problems really can be solved by a good swim in a hot looking suit...

and now, we are back to speedos and such.... ahhhhhhh....:D

There is also a free trade issue, Americans should be wearing speedos made in America and the British speedos made in Britain, all the time we are importing goods from the Far East we are exporting our wealth and jobs and paying for welfare of our own people. Support your local swimwear makers.

Quite so - China wants its cake and eat it for example. It is a global trading power but cares not a jot for its many manufacturing infringements of design copyrights.
Mind you, let's also ask who exactly outsource their home product in the first place - personal greed rises above national interest any day in too many areas of commerce !!
