Looking for Adidas swim briefs. I've always loved theeir suits, but you can't buy them here in the states (as far as I know). I've been reminiscing about the Adidas briefs I owned in the last 70s-early 80s - great material and fit. Would definitely consider buying if these suits were available... thanks!

Adidas suits are available via eBay (and many European sellers). Try a search for "adidas mens swim" and select 'worldwide'.
As the best suits originate in Germany, an even better selection is available using "adidas badehose". Be careful working out the sizes.
The point being that you have to think what a swimsuit might be called in the local language.

For cheapest adidas briefs in uk try sports direct.
http://www.sportsdirect.com/swimming/mens-swimwear
It is very hard to get adidas briefs in any colour than black, but square cuts sometimes come in blue.
Sports Direct do export, but it is cheaper to find a friendly brit to buy and mail to you as a "gift".

I have manged to find a source of blue and even red adidas swim briefs on Amazon DE (Germany).
The site accepted my Amazon UK ID and card number, (although the transaction is not listed in my Amazon UK account.
I bought a pair and remailed them on to a friend in Canada, hope he likes them, royal blue, no logo and a slight pouch, nice shiny fabric too.
Although they look a little small in your hand they stretch and cling nicely.

Does "suits" mean jacket and trousers or speedos ?

I found a couple of the Beijing suits on eBay a couple years ago. I paid quite a bit for em too. I am guessing a couple months after the London games a suit like Daley is wearing will pop up on eBay.

Does that mean you tried Ebay and are not satisfied with bids ??
Which one is it? It was presented to the public in April as the dark blue with red waistband but changed at the last moment to half blue/half white.

Your are not making it clear to Louis whether WHITE is included - THAT
is what was actually worn in the Olympic diving events of 2012 - NOT the all-over dark blue.

(JJB is in liquidation by the way)

SwimOnly is offering it (the solid dark blue only) as from 21.09.12 for £19.99
Note however what Louis has just said on General Speedo Talk Forum.

This will show you where white was introduced as a last minute change of design for Team GB suits.

That was a pretty useless reply - what page exactly on the Sports Direct website is the illustration of what you are offering as "team GB" suit ?

Hi All,
I have bought a couple of pairs of the Dark blue Adidas speedos with red Waist Band. These are not what was worn by British Swimming and Diving teams in Olympics, which were light blue/white at front and rear .
I am not aware of any of these speedos being available to purchase.
Please tell me if I am wrong.

Rather than go though all this again I suggest you read posts #11 - #20 ante.
The official announcement back in April/May 2012 showed the adopted solid dark blue Adidas with red waistband and two logos (replicas available for public sale as advertised on various websites by suppliers - but very soon "out of stock").
At the last moment another design appeared - this time half white and strange added wedges in light blue (it was Stella McCartney's interpretation of the Union Flag and although the former might have appeared in practise it was the latter which were worn in the Olympic events for real).
To find that final design of suit is very difficult if not impossible - anyone who has one is likely to want to make a nice profit on Ebay.
Btw, came across a Nike suit in a pic. recently which never seen before : probably in nylon and not Lycra but a solid dark blue with a red waistband.

Now this one IS a mystery.
Three guys at the door of what may be a club and definitely in London.
Team GB Adidas are being worn but these are not Olympic competitors to my knowledge.

Adidas Performance store Oxford Street 12th August 2012
The three models at the door and the queue is not for a club but for a Tom Daley book-signing session inside.
Adidas can't seem to make up their minds. Latest Team GB design is being worn but note the earlier suit is still on the TD image on the shopfront.

This is how Adidas Customer Services explain the situation:
The half white later design was manufactured for competing athletes only and never intended for general purchase.
The earlier "Team GB Replica Range" by Stella McCartney was for sale and was intended to be something "inspirational and to unite the nation".
So I found - This - (http://www.ebay.com/itm/190785603149?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619) on ebay. I would love it but seems like it will sell for a lot. :(

Welcome as new member today - well spotted.
Size 32" and new in its box - would be interesting to know how this was obtained in view of Adidas's assurance about strictly limited availability.
Only a matter of time I guess and I predicted an Ebay item before long.
Seller is in the north of England and 19 bids so far reaching £35.
Eight days to go however and I would even venture a guess to finalise at triple that.
This is one of seller's four Team GB items (hooded top, T-shirt and shorts also).
:) thanks.
I check this now and then but never created an account to post anything. >.>
Byron

OK - keep thinking for a suitable post.
Update: Adidas have nothing to add except to say that they can give no account for goods appearing on offer at Ebay.
Byron
01-21-2013, 09:03 PM
To add to the above Adidas cannot vouch for "source, quality, authenticity".
Bids now gone to £43 and swimmingfast123 seems to sell quite a lot of olympic memorabilia, with good Ebay performance ratings.
Dafuq! some people really want this -____-
Byron
01-23-2013, 09:11 PM
Yes, the latest bid seems to be the same as yesterday but the
suit might be the only one available in the world so Louis may
see his $1000 reached at the end.
(just learned that Dafuq is WTF)
louis

Im sure bidding willl reach the $1000.00 Byron, As much as I would like to have such a suit , no go for a thousand dollars.
I like Tom Daley a lot but I can put a thousand dollars in my pocket but cant put T D in my pocket.
I wonder what he would be thinking if he knew that someone is buying a suit for a thousand dollars just because he wore one similar at the 2012 London Olympic games.
Byron
01-24-2013, 05:54 PM
LOL - $871 now and three days to go
(the publicity would do no harm to his tv career I guess)
(do we know what happened to Ryan Lochtie's pink ones ?)
Byron
01-25-2013, 07:48 PM
Two days to go - no movement as Ebay says now 34 bids and top is $868
http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_mdwmgbuM191r5hsvro1_500.jpg
(makes you wonder which athletes gave up their exclusive team suits so that three male models could display them at the Adidas London shop when TD was doing one of his book-signing sessions)
- Another one - (http://www.ebay.com/itm/London-2012-Olympic-Games-Team-GB-Adidas-Swimming-Trunks-/330864837524?pt=UK_Men_s_Swimwear&hash=item4d0914c394&_uhb=1) now they seem to be appearing. This one is size 34.

Branded swimsuits are getting and more popular these days to look great and more attractive. If you are also looking for branded swimsuits then I would recommend you to search for it online.

Hey guys..new member here and avid speedo collector.
mostly interested in vintage 70's 80's 100% nylon suits waist size 34 to 36
if anyone has any. I have a solid collection of over 40 pairs of speedo, Adidas, Arena, TYR and Nike and looking to trade.
some never worn but tags cut off. I managed to find an awesome pair of yellow Adidas square cut on ebay. I have seen a few models wearing them on internet but cannot find anymore. Best fit and best outline ever!!! hahaha.
Anyone interested in swapping some suits for mine let me know.
