Hi guys, I'm new here. I stumbled across this forum and liked what I saw.
Last year was the first time I have ever worn smaller swim wear. I already wear skimpy underwear (thongs, strings, cheekies, etc) and GF loves it. Last summer we were bikini shopping for my GF and she saw a bikini bottom that she said would look good on me. I said I'm not wearing a girls bikini bottom to the pool. She countered with the fact that it doesn't look like a girls bikini bottom, and it is sexy as hell. Its not tie side, or string side or anything. Infact the only way you would know is if you knew the small logo stitched on the hip.
It was a Roxy bikini bottom, and wore it to the local pool. The first time I swam in it, I was hooked. I love the feeling of freedom in the water and how fast I dry when I get out. I surely don't miss the feeling of a wet mop hanging from my waist. My GF loves it, she thinks it is sexy and I havent heard any negative comments at the pools, even over the winter when were at a hotel pool.
I know have a bunch of different bottoms in different colors patterns and styles. I do have 2 bottoms that have "roxy" written all over them, and I wear those too. My GF likes them alot, and as long as she likes to see me in them, I will wear them. I have worn them at the hotel pool a few times and no one has said a thing.
Now the question, am I the only one who wear girls bikini bottoms? anyone else ever tried it? I dont like the look and style of the guys ones and the ones I do like are really expensive whereas a girls bikini bottom can be had for under $20 all day, sometimes even less on ebay. I dont like the guys styles, they are either to much like tighty whitey underwear or they fit like a garbage bag over the crotch. I have found the womens styles are available in much better cuts, fits and colors.
I am rather well endowed and had bit of trial and error finding the brands that fit well. The two that I found fit the best for holding junk in is Victorias Secret (though they seem to run big, I wear a small from them) and Roxy (I wear a medium).
Of course I have pics. What are your thoughts? anyone else try it or do it? I know this is a Speedo board but you guys seem to be pretty open minded so I figured I might be accepted here with this idea....
Here is my first Roxy bikini last year...

Hi notmyj, and welcome to the forum!
The forum's title says "briefs, bikinis, and more" so you've come to the right place, even if many of us (speaking strictly for myself, because I don't really know) have no experience wearing women's bikini bottoms. You're going to find an active community here with a few of us who post frequently, and of course the nasty lurkers who are willing to suck up the board's energy, but never participate.
Looking at the pictures, the only suit that kind of says "girls" to me is the rear of the middle one with the circles. Not sure why, but that just looks like it belongs on a girl's butt. It also looks too crowded in front (IMHO).
The first one, although really tiny doesn't read that way at all and looks hot, hot, hot. The blue band sets and defines where your goodies go. Since the suit was designed without accommodation for a guy, it's amazing how well it fits! I had a similarly shaped suit once, but it was Speedo brand, designed for men, and didn't fit half as good as yours.
So, I've got a couple questions. First, what are "cheekies"? And how did you get full size pictures to appear in your message? I've been sticking a bunch of pictures up recently, have had to jump through major hoops to get them down to the 78kb file size limit, and they appear as little thumbnails at the bottom inserted of in the message itself.
Since Byron is URL challenged, Louis by language, and apparently me by lack of knowledge of the forum's software, perhaps we need a instruction manual.

Yeah, the one with the circles is bordeline, I will admit. Its actually not as crowded as it looks. I was partially aroused when the pic were taken because my GF was was being really....supportive ;)
As for the first one, it is easily my favorite style from Roxy I have a couple of them with different patterns/colors. It fits well and the wide band helps hole everything in place. I love how little the back is, makes for great tan lines and I feel sexy wearing it. I also was amazed how well it fits considering it was designed for a girl, I honestly thought I would be hanging out of the sides but it works very well.
As for the cheekies.... They are girls underwear... I like the vast array of designs, colors, cuts, and materials. Luckily, my GF was ok with me wearing what I do. I should clarify that I dont dress up like a girl, I dont wear girls clothes, bras or dresses or anything like that. Its not a sexual fetish, I just decided to break out of the norm of plain underwear or over priced "designer" underwear and wear what I liked. Again, it took alot of trial and error but I found what fits. I have pics, but not sure if it would be appropriate as this is a swim wear board. lol.
I upload my pics to photobucket.com. Its a free hosting site that you can keep your pics at. You can create different albums and organize your pics. The reason you can get away with big pics is that since they are hosted at different site, the size restriction at this site is not relevant. The pics are uploaded and stored at photobucket then simply linked to this forum. Although the forum rules here only allow a max of 4 images per post.

Yes, surprisingly good fit - would one ever know from a pic?
The front package is much as we might see on the Japanese
speedo guys after all - but it is not the butt of the suit with
rings where I would take a second look but the butt with the
diagonal stripes.
It sure would be fun to know whether any AB lovers would
ever discard theirs after this !
PS:Cutting down on over-ambitious URLs but
sucessfully got a patch of grass onto off-topic.

The one with the rings and the one with the stripes are the same bikini, just different design. I guess the angle of the camera and the way it is on me makes it seem different. I could probably get better comparison pics if that would help clear it up, but they are the same.
I also would be curious if anyone else tries bikini bottoms. I have never noticed any other guys wear them, but then again, I never see other guys in brief swim wear either...

While scuba diving in Mexico, I noticed the dive guide was wearing a suit that certainly seemed like a bikini bottom, briefer than your suits. It had to be super-brief to stand out, because most scuba divers wear Speedos under the wetsuit, and then sun & air dry in just the Speedo afterwards.

I am hoping for our honeymoon in the Domican Republic (maybe next summer/fall) I will spend the entire week in my swimsuits. As it is right now, I haven't worn them out too much as this just started towards the end of last summer. I have to admit, I am still a little shy walking into the pool wearing just bikini bottoms. Last summer I was wearing my board shorts over the bikini and only removing them to lay out on the towels. When I was swimming, i would put my board shorts back on. This was how I was untill the very end, then I finally said, "screw it, I'm doing what I want". Thats when I shed my board shorts, and walked into the pool from the towels with my GF. It was at that moment that I decided I was a brief swimwear guy.
The feeling of not having all the clothing on me was amazing. So free and able to move better. I did feel sexy in it too, when I was walking back to our towels in the grass dripping with water.
This year I am planning on leaving the board shorts at home so I have no choice but swim in my skimpy swim wear. You guys have any words of encouragement for a guy who is making a change to brief swim wear completely? I mean, I have worn them out to the pools (the first pic was taken by my GF at the local pool last summer), but I still have reservations about it.... I guess it just takes time to become completely comfortable in them...

LOL - if you went through all the archives you would see such a lot of anxt about "speedo friendly beaches" let alone "bikini bottom friendly beaches".
Simply choose the appropriate place not to cause public uproar or arrest and go for it
(but that feeling of freedom you seem to have experienced already is what you have come to enjoy so I guess you don't need much persuading).
Mrs Grundy will no doubt be caused some confusion so we will keep her guessing.
Btw do the girls have the same choice of weight, type and stretch of fabric as in guys trying to select the best speedo for themselves?
notmyj
05-05-2012, 05:14 PM
With all the designs, fabrics, cuts, manufactures, I would argue the women have more choices than guys.
Not worried about any laws... As long as everything covered and in place I am good. As you can see, none of my bikinis are too revealing as thong would be. The way I figure is if it coveres the same amount on a girl, then it should be ok for me too have the same coverage so long as my giblets stay in the front. Equal rights, right?

Almost all Speedo/brief swimsuit fans go through that process, starting with wearing them under shorts, dropping the shorts and realizing its OK, then enjoying the freedom of wearing what you like.
Another common thread is when one guy shows up in brief swimwear at a pool, causing 2 or 3 others who've been hanging around in shorts to suddenly work up the courage to join in, and it's now a Speedo fiesta.
Sometimes shy guys log in here and ask where "Speedo Friendly" beaches or pools can be found. The answer is that all it takes is one guy to break the ice.
I predict your problem will be when GF decides to flirt with you while you're hanging around the pool in your bikini bottom, just to see if she can get a rise out of you. And you'll find a need to roll over and sun your back, or else have to grab a towel quickly.

....but can't resist pointing out (another pun) that I am a wimp who does not like going to freezing pools where breaking ice is necessary !

Fabric is fabric, it has no sex, it can be made in any colour and printed in any pattern desired but it still has no sex.
Any smooth front bikini made from a stretch fabric (lycra, spandex etc) will accommodate either a male or female figure of the right body size range, although you may need a size larger to fit a man. A man's smooth front bikini may be designed with a wider crotch seam than a woman's as it has to stretch further to stop bits popping out but there are no other real differences.
Only when the front of the suit is made into a pouch by sewing the 2 sides along a curve are the suits definitely for a man.
Wear the suits that make you feel happy and confident, if they happen to be women's suits then enjoy them. Keep your eyes open for nice men's suits too when you are next thinking of buying new, you might find something you like.

Never thought I would see such a receptive comment on my choice of swimwear. Thank you. Your comment has instantly given me more confidence to wear my bikini without hesitation.
This sure is an open minded group of people here. lol. Who knows, maybe I will start a new trend of guys wearing girls bottoms as a way of shattering the mold. lol.
I will definately keep my eye open for something designed more for men that is cut the way I like in a color/pattern that catches my eye. Till then, its bikini bottoms for me.

If they fit -- who cares. I have seen racks of bikini bottoms in places like Target and think how great they look and have stopped to check them out. Every time I can see that they just don't have the fabric for my package. My girlfriend had one that was a knit (like t-shirt) that had the stretch, but all others female suits I have had on just don't hold my junk in. You are lucky they fit and no one will probably know. (hopefully there won't be a female with the same bikini at the beach or pool)
Byron

Exactly - when I said "weight, type and stretch" in the earlier question I should have added "strength".
For obvious anatomical reasons even a lightweight cotton fabric might suffice for
the girls whereas for the guys a little more heavyweight specification is likely to be necessary.

The current trend towards heavily pouched square cut suits seems to be coming from guys used to wearing big underwear and board shorts changing to boxer briefs and square cut swimming trunks, the oversized pouch seems to be an attempt to retain the last vestige of bagginess in a skin tight suit and to demonstrate their masculinity as no woman would wear an oversized pouch (or would they).
You seem secure in your sexuality, you have a girl friend who you intend to marry and you share days in the sunshine and water together enjoying the sight and feel of each others bodies and bikinis. Your underwear drawer contains the skimpy but masculine briefs and thongs that you enjoy.
You like to wear and swim in the women's bikini briefs that you and your girl friend choose together because they look and feel good on you and make you feel so free when swimming. You are still a male and don't pretend to be anything else. If you were a cross dresser that would be between yourself and those you choose to share it with.
Anyone that objects is either jealous that you have the body and bottle to wear those suits or just a bully that enjoys hurting people while claiming to be acting in the public interest.
Enjoy the summer.
PS. Years ago while walking through the local mall I spied an old woman looking into a women's lingerie shop window. I followed her eyes to a mass of lace and frills that accentuated yet barely covered the shop dummy they were applied to. The look in the old woman's eye was a mixture of lust and loss, and I realised how much she would have loved to have worn that confection at the time she was young enough to make jaws drop. Wear the suits you love now, soon you will be married, perhaps a father too and have to move on. In 40 years time when you pass that swimming shop you eyes should fill with happy memories not with lust for what you missed out on.

Very true indeed Torchwatch, one MUST enjoy every moment while they are young, youth is not foreever, anyway it may be better that nostalgia doesnt devellope once aged, knowing that you will never be young again .
Especially if you are young mentally you will surely long for those good old says wene you could wear skimpy clothing.

There is too much thinking going on. So much concern about "speedo friendly" and "what will my family think" makes me wonder how some guys get dressed in the morning. Do you place that much concern on everything you wear. I mean if it is a group decision and opinion pole whether to wear jeans of chinos everyone must be late for work. It is just a swim suit! If it fits, you like it - wear it! If someone makes a negative comment -- I am thinking this only will happen with family and close "friends" -- just laugh it off or tell them, "I wear what I like, you wear what you like" and leave it at that. OR if you want to get snarky about it you can come back with "I think your suit looks like shit and don't like it either but I have the manners to keep my comments to myself" or to a guy "I understand why you won't wear one -- nothing to fill it". Trust me, after a couple minutes people forget what you are wearing and life goes on.

:) Good post and yes, we should be reminded of what's wheat and what's chaff in lifestyle.
Don't forget however that this is a forum and forums need to have discussions and enlightening discussion will sometimes ensue from a bit of
navel-gazing.
It has been suggested for example (agree or not ) that the loss of STS's
stories is regrettable because they were useful in getting a readership to
be persuaded into the acceptability and desirability of wearing brief speedos
without stigma. One new member is doing his bit already with bikini bottoms so who knows what might change ?

I've been a Speedo guy since I got my first for youth swim team, and I certainly don't need a "Speedo Friendly Beach" to wear one. However, I'm not so sure about my confidence level carrying a bikini bottom into the changing room at Target. (I Chose Target because their dressing room staff is only concerned with number of items. It would be worse in the ladies section of Macys, and way too strange to even contemplate in a women's boutique).

Wow, I am amazed that this thread has gotten so much attention and sparked such an interesting conversation. I would love to see some guys here try bikini bottoms, too. I have never tried them on in stores, always purchased them then tried them on. Once you try a few on and see what fits, you will be able to tell if they will fit just by looking at them. The width of the crotch is most important, ones from Aerie are way to narrow, but the Victoria's Secret and Roxy ones fit great.
Infact, while perusing ebay I found the same ones I have, for sale. I am not selling it, not affiliated in any way, just thought I would share it if anyone wants to try a style that would definitely fit a guy.

I look at the front of that suit and know there isn't enough material to contain me with any movements -- like walking, sitting or swimming. I have tried about 10 of the female suits and only found one that I could wear and not have to adjust avery couple minutes. You are lucky if you fit in them cuz I have seen racks of them at end of season for as low as $2.

Well, LC did say ".....has opened a lot of eyes...."
Thanks for Ebay pic but not sure whether I am reading it accurately.
Width at crotch would be a concern for me as with PSDave.
Is there some some of slot at centre front of waist band?
Does this wide waist band overhang as some kind of tiny "skirt"?
(that bit not likely to appeal to speedo-lovers I would guess)
notmyj
05-07-2012, 08:24 PM
The waistband is just a contrasting color. Not an over hang like a skirt. As for the width at the front, it is smaller than the speedos you are used to but I am 8" and not skinny like a twig and everything fits. No slots or anything in them. They hold everything snuggly and so far I have not had any accidents with my stuff coming out. Don't forget, these are not nylon, but rather a very stretchy lycra spandex mix. I have the sames ones in the same size, I could post more pics if that would help.

For reference, my waist is 33-34 inches. The roxy bikinis in a medium fit very well. The victorias secret bikinis run big so I found that size small from them was the best fit. From the ones I have tried, I typically wear medium, victorias secret being the exception.

tHE FIRST TIME ai ORDERED A BIKINI BOTTOM I NOTICED HOW NARROW THE CROUCH IS AND WAS SURE IT WOULNT FIT BIT IT DID FIT PERFECTLY THE NARROW CROUCH DIDNT MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE COMPARED TO MENS SWIMSUITS,.
Torchwatch

There appears to be overlap in the crotch seam widths of men and women's suits, ie the narrowest men's suits will be narrower than the widest women's suits. Any woman's suit in this overlap area would be wearable by a man who can wear the narrowest men's suit.
The size of men's balls varies, as the radius increases the surface area increases exponentially (work out the maths yourself), whether the stretch in the fabric can securely accommodate this increase in surface area decides whether you can wear that bikini in public. Similarly a low cut front waist may not safely contain a larger cock.
Porn went through a phase of only showing guys with massive cocks and balls, everyone aspired towards huge size and became ashamed of their own more moderate equipment. Wearing a tight and tiny swimsuit shows that you accept what you have been given, unlike the guys in the board-shorts who claim they wouldn't fit into speedos.

Oh boy, are you sure you want to give the anti-Speedo, dork shorts crowd the argument that they are the well hung studs, and that anyone who can cram their junk into a Speedo is obviously lacking in the size department?
Nobody has ever been kicked off a swim team because they couldn't fit into their suit.

notmyj, I haven't tried wearing them in public, but someday I will. Some of the bikini bottoms I've worn are obvious in that they're women's (i.e. string ties), so I would try to do the ones that look like guys bikinis. Still, I love wearing them, and I'm happy to meet someone else who does! :)

MOST EXCELLENT, iM GLAD THAT BY THE SEVEREL POST ON BIKINI BOTTOMS PROUVES THAT iM NOT THE ONLY WHO LIKES THEM.
ITS TRUE iV TRY D MANY OF THEM ON ME AND EFFECTIVELY i REALLY CANT SEE THE DIFFERENCE COMPARING TO A MANS SUIT.
VERY FEW POSTERS SAY THAT BIKINI BOTTOMS DONT FIT WELL ON THEM AND I CANT SEE WHY.
i HAVE A FEW MENS SPEEDOS WERE THE CROCH JUST AS NARROW (OR WIDE) AS ANY BIKINI BOTTOMS, Ex: ADIDAS INFINIY MENS SUITS AS WORN BY TOM DALEY AT AND BLAKE ALDRIDGE AT THE BEIJING OLYMPICS, ALSO ALL SPEEDO SOLARS ARE JUST AS NARROW AS WOMEN BOTTOMS, ADD TO THAT SPEED AQUABLADES,JM BRAND SUITSTO AND NOW BRACE YOURSELF... SO GUYS GO FOR WOMEN BOTTOMS THEY ARE MUCH CHEAPER (GOOD ADVANTAGE) AND REALLY NO ONE ATTHE BEACH OR LAC OR RIVER, ETC WILL EVER BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE UNLES OF COURSE YOU DONT WEIGH OVER THREE HUNDRED POUNDS OF COURSE.
TELL YOU WHAT GET YOURSELF A FEW AND POST US SOME PICS OF YOU IN THEM THEN THAT WILL PROUVE ME RIGHT.
YEP THE WAY DIFFERENT SUITS FIT IS VERY MISTERIOUS INDEED A FRIEND OF MINE IN ENGLAND MADE ME A SIMILI LEATHER SUIT (kind of plastic) AND THE CROUCH WAS 4 INCHES WIDE YET IT FITTED ME PERFECTELY, A GUY FROM PALM SPRINGS (DAVID) NOW LIVING IN SUN CITY AZ POSTED HERE THAT BIKINY BOTTOMS DONT FIT HIM YET i SENT HIM THE SUIT AND HE SAYS THAT IT ALSO FITS HIM TO A PERFECTION.

AUSSIBUMS ARE JUST AS NARROW TO.
Louis, I'm so happy that you also like them! :) They really are terrific!

Yep bikini bottoms do look sike a speedo on a man.
Never the less dont buy those with a cord on both sides witch seem to be the trend this year (MOSTLY SOLD IN STORES) I would recommend not to wear those anyone will know they are women s bikini bottoms.
Unles you are a travesti and would like to drool yourself to death in front of a mirror, lol.

Yeah, I leave the tie side bikinis for my GF. None of mine are string bikini as I don't think I could pull it off as a guys suit. All of mine are over 1" width at the side. I will probably be able to post pics tomorrow.
Getting excited too, Next weekend is Memorial Day, which means the summer has started and the local pools will be open. I go past one everyday and have watch the progress all spring. It is now filled up and putting the finishing touches on the buildings and grounds. Be swimming soon!

You need to have a sense of adventure to wear a bikini with ties on each side. For some reason no one ever touches the ties on a girl's suit but when a guy wears a tie on suit it is open season. Everybody, friend or stranger, love to grab the ties and watch the suit fall to the ground. I had it happen once when I was standing in line to get some sodas. Everyone thought it was a riot (guy selling drinks took sympathy and gave me drink free) If you have never worn or tried on a string tie suit, they are a real challenge to get on and tied - especially with a laughing audience! The only time I have worn one since was at a private pool.

Well, as promised, here are a few more pics of my bikini's that I will be wearing this summer. These are all girls bikini bottoms from Roxy, USA size Medium. The black ones are blatantly girls, as they have "Roxy" written all over them but my GF loves them on me, so I wear them if its a slow day at the pool or at a private pool.

So thats what I got. What do you guys think? Bikini bottoms yey or ney? Anyone else gonna try it or I am one of the odd few who will enjoy the choice of colors, materials, cuts, and low prices of girls bikini bottoms? Its really not that hard to pull it off if you have the right color and style.
Again, I recomend Roxy and Victorias Secret bikinis. They are wide enough at the crotch to hold you in. They are very stretchy and will fit very well.

The pointing issues are the same as a normal speedo. In the first pics, I was slightly aroused as my GF was being rather encouraging. In normal situations it would look the same as they do above. Not sure why, but I always try to keep mine to the left, I just find it more comfortable.

Just a quick update this weekend, my gf and I spent all day Saturday at her parents house since they have a pool. I was wearing the black roxy bikini that I posted one page back. Anyone else get out this weekend?

I was out in the sun for 4 hours yesterday. A friend txt me and asked what I was up to so i told him where I was and he said he would come join me. He's never seen me wear a speedo before nor did I tell him i was wearing one. When he got to where I was he looked a little surprised when he saw me wearing a navy blue speedo solar but to my surprise he pulled off his shorts and was wearing a red one. It was pretty hot to say the least. I have an awesome tanline now.

Hi notmyj,
I really appreciate this pictures. I have been wanting to delve into some briefer styles than what I have (I only have a few breif suits that I have worn in public, and my favorite is a 1.5" side), but I have a problem with the men's suits. I want something that doesn't over-emphasize my front, (i.e. I don't want to hide it, but I don't necessarily want to put it front and center) and I want something with a bit more cut in the butt.
For example, I have this bikini and love the cut in the back: http://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0167/0800/products/CM101-Black-Back_4_1024x1024.jpeg?66
I wore it out tanning with my girlfriend and she hadn't known I had got it. She immediately commented on my butt and likes when I show a little bit.
So I'm fascinated by your bikini choices. I love the idea of having a cheaper bikini available, and it looks like a lot of female cuts are really more like what I want. I would probably stick to boring solids though.
I love the idea of a rouched-back, but I tried one on once and realized it wasn't for me. I think my butt is too small for it to work, at least in the one I tried....I love the orange one though! Which roxy bikini is it? The back cut looks perfect.
I need to figure out what sizes I would get if I tried some female bikini bottoms. I usually wear a 28 in jeans, a 30 in dress pants, and for a regular Speedo suit, a 30 is pretty tight.

Here is the orange one from Roxy
http://www.roxy.com/surf-essentials-surfer-bikini-bottoms/rxyus617937#selectedColor=blk
Its available in different colors. if I were you I'd start with a medium as it would probably fit just right. You may want to look on eBay for the same one, you may be able to find it for cheaper. Pretty much all the Roxy ones would give you the cut you want. Intact, I am getting rid of a few that I have if your in the USA, send me your address and I will send one or two for free. Someone here sent two thongs a while ago, so I'd like to pay it forward by sending out two that I have.

I actually own a womens suit and I love it. I do agree with the first post in that many mens suits fit like a garbage bag over your stuff. The up's with a female suit is that there is no frontal seam and often the fit is nicer. The downside is the 2.5" crotch... Ill stick mainly to mens suits but i do see why some go for a female suit.
One of my favorite suits (my newest) is a Gabriel homme Suit for men but it has several features I LOVE. No front seam (designers attempt to make room for junk when no seam does just fine). Draw Cord slides nicely and waist not too tight, Back is not too full, and where the crotch meets the butt there isnt a yard of fabric. While this is a mens suit it features everything that the average female suit does and few mens suits do...

Two months later.... I stopped in a somewhat local swim shop yesterday which to my dismay only had womens swimwear. Not giving up easily I looked through he selection and picked three suits. I wore the first one today to malibe and the experience was wonderful. It flattered my figure, didn't ride up of chafe, held my penis and testicles in place but didn't constrict them too much, and I have never felt more free in my life lol. The crotch was small but everything fit nicely.

Lol I don't know if she would fit my size but I think it depends on the bottoms. The ones with a 2.5" or 3" crotch fit as long as they broaden to 3"-4" less than 2" Inches from smallest point. I'm sure many womens suits wouldn't fit me but the one I wore fit me running, climbing, jumping and I wasnt worried about anything showing. http://knikon.tumblr.com/image/103440947098

What is your weight, waist and hip measurements?
I wear women's bottoms sometimes too, but getting the right fit is difficult.
The fit will be different between two like sizes if one is a competition suit and the other is a fashion suit. The competition suits are made to fit tight and small.

I have successfully been wearing female bikini bottoms for years. I love to shop the "sale" items in the sporting goods stores. They have some wonderful prices and some great suit cuts. The trick is to learn the female size number that fits.
I like shorter, lower riding shorts as well and find that the female hiking shorts and athletic shorts work great. Again it just requires knowing the size number.
When in doubt, pick up the garnet and go to the mens dept. and get a male garnet to try on. Use the dressing room and try on the female garnet to confirm the fit and style.

you are lucky to be able to wear the girls swim wear. I ran across a sale on separates a couple years ago that had the bikini bottoms for as low as $1.50. I bought quite a few of various styles (tie on, Brazil, brief) and was quite pleased with my find. I discovered when I put them on that several didn't have enough material to keep me contained when I moved. Some of them fit quite well though and if they had a draw sting they would be perfect. (they tend to end up half way to my knees when I dive in. Since then I have never found a girls bikini bottom that fit.
Jogging shorts have always been pretty much uni-sex. What I like about the girls (or Dolphin) is that they don't have the underpants built in so work better for speedo cover ups.

I've recently discovered women's jeans...by accident really. I picked up a pair of low-rise jeans off the men's clearance rack at Nordstroms and they turned out to be Women's jeans. They're currently my favorite pair!

One summer I was away from home and had the chance to go to a secluded beach in the Tidewater area of Virginia. It was a long walk to get to it and about half way into the mile trek I began to see guys hanging out sunning themselves.
The further down the beach you got, the smaller the suits. When I reached the end of the area, there were some naked, some in thongs, some in briefs but no one in board shorts.
No one cared what you were wearing. One guy wore a black satin pair of bikini briefs from Joe Boxer and looked damn nice in them. I asked him if he ever wore them to a pool; he didn't but usually wore a woman's bikini bottom when he would swim laps.
I decided to check out some women's bikini bottoms at different stores and found that I could pick up three or four for the price of one Aussiebum. I now wear women's bikini bottoms, never worry about what is said, and think they are more comfortable then some speedos I own.

Hi all, signed onto the board to ask a question about bikini bottoms if I may.
I've bought and worn bikini bottoms before, partly because of the kink factor, mostly because I couldn't buy locally, a pair of men's briefs that had the cut and look I wanted. ( cost played a part too, they were on sale! )
I'm looking for a new pair at the moment, and wonder if any of you have come across what I want. Here is a link to something very close.
http://www.swim2000.com/20/product/speedo-2-pc-bottom-female/29,#.VRH8wiisGCw
These have a smooth front ( men's would also be acceptable, if the front was mostly smooth, small seam at the gusset area is OK ) but they have a fairly snug looking seam at the rear. I have the devil of a time finding such. When I do, they almost always are cut too brief in the men's styles. Typical of this is the Japanese Arena styles, they usually are cut low enough at the rear to show crack, not what I'm after. I'll probably be buying the ones linked to, but to be perfect, I want the fit to be very close at the back, and I really want something in brighter colours, orange would be fabulous! Any of you know sellers that have such? Patterned is OK, as long as it isn't all hearts and flowers or hello kitty!
One other problem I come across all the time, is retailers who don't provide a rear view, or make it so blurry I can't make out a seam if there is one, argh!

That's my backup plan if I ever don't have a suit (which is rare...as I carry 2 in the car and 1 in my backpack at all times :P)

This thread's a bit of an eye-opener. I've worn panties -- both women's panties and the kind available at xdress/bodyaware -- in the past, because I do like a lot of the fabrics, features, patterns and cuts available, but I've drawn the line at getting into bikini bottoms. But it looks like all the perks of panties are also the perks of bikini bottoms; they're cheaper and have a lot more options. I'm going to have to look into this!

I was shopping for a patriotic suit for Memorial Day, and all of the men's briefs were $40+. I was at Wal-Mart picking up some last-minute things and saw their OP Women's Bikini bottom for $7. DONE

Yeah, the OP bikini bottoms have some great designs. What's the sizing on those compared to mens sizing?

That Sporti 517 looks great on you! It doesn't "flatten" everything out, but rather it looks very natural.
Photos of the back and photos of both the back and front when wet would be very appreciated. I may have to start shopping!
This is the rear. No wet photos at this time.

The picture posted looks wonderful. Can we see a fron and side photo also? Is it a flat front or does this suit have a pouch?

how do womens bikinis hold the tackle in? since they dont have as much of a waist and no drawstring
do they fall off when in the water?
i'd be afraid of bulging out, though probably not much different than some of my speedos
especially my sporti euro cut briefs

I think the striped one looks hot on you.
It depends on body types. I am short waisted and thighs as big as a woman who spends her life getting rid of them, but nothing works. Me too.
So women's bottoms can fit me better.
TIP WALMART of all places. Go to Clarence and filter down to women's swimsuits two piece or bottoms.
Sort price low to high, and if sale time, you gan get bottoms for $3-$4 and up. Good place to buy first woman's suit. It's hard to know what female swim bottom size is to Mens sizes. Often string ties on both side s. Sexy, but wouldn't wear one in public.

I really enjoy wearing Jelly Swimwear bikini bottoms for many years. I have several. I only have guy solid colors with the American and the Euro backs. I'm bigger than average, but it stretches nicely for full front coverage. I have cut out the fabric inside and the tag as not to show when I bend over or in the waterpark line on the stairs. None of my friends know they are women's bikini bottoms.

Recently was at a large hotel and went out to the pool. There were a couple girls in the elevator that I followed out to the pool. The girls came to an sudden stop and started giggling. They asked the guy on the lounge if he shopped at Target. When he, looking puzzled, responded he did. The girls giggling turned into outright laughter as she said, I think you were shopping on the wrong side of the store. She lifted her cover-up to show she was wearing the same bikini as he was. By now everyone in ear shot was laughing and the guy was too embarrassed to respond. He pulled his towel over the suit and quickly left the pool area.

My girl friend got me to try on a women's two piece swimsuit bottoms. They were polyester, briefs style, blue colored with soft nylon lining on the inside. They also had side leg ties and when i put them on, they really fit well and did feel so nice, keeping my male anatomy with my erect penis snug and secure. They did fit extra snug in my behind, exposing my buns, especially with the leg side ties secured and she really liked them on me too. I'd rather wear my speedos, but these two piece bottoms felt so nice and really hugged my privates when wet. Most of our friends at the swim club wear speedos or jammers and the ladies one piece suits that fit them very tight, showing almost as much as a two piece swim suit. I got to wear them swimming in the pool for a while. Nobody noticed that they were woman's swim suit bottoms, thinking those were European version of men,s bikini swim wear. After swimming, I went into the men's shower and dressing rooms to change. In the showers I kept them on, rinsing out the pool water. Those bottoms felt so nice when wet, clinging closer than wet speedos. Luck had it that no one was around,as I was one of the last in the showers and changing room. Slowly I managed to untie the side leg ties and could feel the clinging wet polyester press closer in my crotch and giving an unavoidable erection, as I pulled and tugged on them while in the shower. The feel of them coming off and seeing more and more of the inside white lining and trying to free my excited privates, then getting my behind and buns unsnugged and finally peeling it down to my ankles off was sensational. Those women's swim suit bottoms felt just as nice as my speedo swim briefs, but taking them off took a little more time with a lot of extra wiggling stripping them off, yet felt so nice wearing them and very arousing'while taking those tight wet polyester women's swim suit bottoms off in the showers. She asked if liked wearing them and I said would like wearing those bottoms again for another beach or pool occasion if I had to.

I have a women's tie string bikini bottom that I found at Walmart during closeout for around $4 and have since modified it to be a no tie. They are the small size. There is just barely enough material to be able to squeeze in and fully cover my balls, whereas, in order to get my member in it I tuck it straight down and under.
The tiny bikini rides extremely low in front and is quite enjoyable to wear. It does expose the top base ,portion of my member, but with a good shave it blends in well as just a large bulge in my skin. My bulge holds the bikini in place from slipping down even further.
Not as comfortable though as a male string bikini with a pouch due to I am well endowed.

Wow, thanks for including the link to Walmart for the suit! Please consider posting your photo wearing the suit.
I also enjoy wearing the inexpensive women's very skimpy bottoms. Like you I shave smooth and the suits are right at my shaft. My balls are smaller and frequently slip out the let opening...but its just any accident, right?
This is me in a new Speedo bikini bottom. I just wear this one around the house right now.

You know we swim team boys were a bunch of goofs when we were 15-16 year olds. There were a few instances we borrowed girls suits, usually the one piece speedo team uniform but once we decided to try bikinis. You know, it might not have even been noticed if we had left the tops off, since we didn't really need them. Cause we were boys, you see...

I wear panties almost everyday. The Jockey NPLP bikinis fit like a glove and honestly you would never know they're panties if they're a solid color. The NPLP string bikinis are even better. If you like speedos, you will love these. Like you, I don't wear women's swim bottoms, but some of them look damn good.

I am a little embarrassed to realize that it has been over a year since I was reading this thread (and a little surprised nobody else has added to it in the meantime). But I guess I needed some time to let the concept roll around in my mind before diving in to give it a try...
Not that long ago, I bought my first women's bikini bottom. I guess the posts here got me curious about it. But then, I was doubtful that there would be anything decent and masculine-looking enough that would even fit me... but I was surprised and pleased to find that Speedo does have women's sizes that go large enough.
I have not worn it in public, as I am way too fat to wear a swim brief -- I still enjoy my jammers and rash guard for swimming -- but once I lose my weight, I do hope to get up the nerve to do some swimming in various swim briefs.
So... let me know what you think of this suit.

Captain:
I purposely didn't put the "Jammer" on your name because I don't think you need it. I have seen you post pictures a few times in your jammers.
you look a thousand percent better in those bikinis. Unlike all the other pictures you seem to have found some that no one would ever guess aren't speedos for men. Their coverage on your backside and their bulge up front are perfect for your body.
I think everyone on this board is rooting for you to finally wear some Speedos to the pool. I think surprisingly, that bikini is the perfect first suit!
if it makes you feel better I like your pictures the most out of all 14 pages of this thread. I'd have to say my second favorite is that pink Speedo bikini.
Do you really think you look better in jammers? Do you really think they hide anything? I respectfully think you look way better in bikinis.

i found that the Arena Nadiene bikini bottoms don't have the logo centered on the back of the waistband and pass a speedo, however they are smaller in the back, with side seams that are only about an inch.

I hesitate to reply here, as I do not want to venture too far off topic of this thread, but to respond to your comment, I will proceed with one reply, here, and if further reply is requested, we can move to a different thread.
First off... thank you for your very kind words. For being the fat kid in my youth and just a fat man in all my adult life, it is odd to have someone give a compliment about my appearance.
Second, you have to understand that when I take pictures in my gear, I am very careful about how I pose, and the angle of the camera, and I suck in my gut as much as I possibly can... so that I look as good as I can and try to minimize the look of my fat belly. I pick only the absolute best pics to post. When I am actually at a pool I don't have all those advantages. I am there in all my overweight glory (haha) for everyone to see.
Third, you can see this in the front view of these women's bottoms.. I have some darker skin/discoloration on my thighs around the groin area. I do not know what has caused this but it has been there all my adulthood. I am a bit self-conscious about that--something that is only visible when I wear swim briefs, or short trunks/squarecuts.
Finally, as we all know, many people do not share our enthusiasm for swim briefs. As is evidenced by the various topics and posts throughout this discussion board, many times swim brief wearers are in the minority and there are those that 'look down' on those that do dare to wear such swim suits. On top of that, being a larger person, I have read and heard of those that feel that larger men, of all people, should never wear a swim brief suit. The term, 'beached whale' is what comes to mind. (Even my own wife has made comments when larger men on Amazing Race don smaller swim suits for some activities, that such men "should never wear a Speedo!") When you couple these sentiments with my life of being teased and made fun of for my size, the thought of showing up in public in a swim brief is certainly not something I am ready to try.
It takes enough gumption for me to brave the public pool in jammers and a rashguard, as it is. I do feel that jammers are a bit more accepted than a swim brief is, especially in my very conservative part of the US. And yes, I do think I look good in jammers. As not just a Speedo aficionado, but a lover of all spandex, I do really like the look of my thighs wrapped in snug spandex. If I may say so, I think my thighs are about my best feature since they do not look 'fat' like other parts of my body. And then, I do feel that covering up my big belly makes me a little more acceptable than if I were completely bare from the waist up. Plus, rash guards cover my back hair -- another part of my body that I know many people, women especially (including my wife), find offensive and something that should never be on display to the public. So, yeah, I do prefer my look in jammers and a rashguard as opposed to in just a swim brief. (Hopefully that perspective will change when I lose my weight.. I am starting up, this week, on a plan to lose 100 pounds in a year.)
But in conclusion, let me again thank you for positive feedback on my swim briefs, and these women's bottoms, in particular.. It means a lot to me to know that someone can see past my shortcomings and appreciate how I look. Much respect, bro!

You look great in this bikini bottom; should totally be wearing it in public! The women's styles are actually quite flattering to men also, especially in back. The women's styles in popularity have been getting quite cheeky recently, even more so than the ones you are wearing here. Wish I would see men wearing something like this. I am curious as to what sort of lining these have in front; doesn't seem like much.
