Vented brief on Amazon/eBay for <$30

Hi all

So I'm on the lookout for a vented suit(one with the vent at the back like the expensive Mizuno ones). I saw on here someone mentioning that AQUX make one, but the only AQUX suit available on Amazon is just a square cut.

It doesn't need to be super fancy, it's not for swimming in. It's just for wearing around the house.

I'd prefer to order from eBay/Amazon if possible because I live with family.

Could someone point me to an Amazon link?

Yeah, I was looking at that. That's exactly what I'm after - but I'd prefer to buy it from Amazon if possible... Partly because at the moment it's not going to be easy to get shipped from China right now... And also anything I get shipped to the USA is going to have a customs label on saying what in the package.

I am pretty certain that anything coming out of China with an Aqux label is not a licensed product. That is a company located in Japan. I have several of the Chinese-made suits that I purchased over the years and they are all really neatly made and have the rear vent. They also fit way low in back, showing the butt-crack "Y" but that is how they are designed to fit.

Periodically the owner of the brand complains about the Chinese license violations and there is a purge. I noticed that most of the Chinese made Aqux disappeared a couple years ago. Amazon tries to purge their site of products that are using fake, unlicensed brands and this would be an example of that despite the fine quality of the knockoff Aqux suits.

Aqux has a real Web site in Japan and you can probably order directly from them. The catch is that a real Aqux suit from Japan looks to be about 7800 yen which means about $80 USD. The Chinese, for the time did one heck of a job making the apparent knockoffs they shipped to the US. There are photos of the real suits front and rear on the site below and note that they also fit really low in back so you need to be comfortable showing a bit of "Y" in the rear as many Asians apparently are or this is not the suit for you.

I was quite taken by the photos of the Chinese versions at the time I was ordering mine, especially the back views. So I downloaded a few photos from the Chinese site.

Thanks, I managed to find a seller in the US, selling them at $14.99/per with $4 shipping - though the size they have (XL) is apparently equivalent to 34-36" waist which is a little large for me. I'm tempted to buy anyway though and hope that they're not too big. I'm usually 30-32...Thoughts?

some colors and designs appear to have a back seam/vent but others neither. So be careful what you order. The ones with the V shaped scallop in back appeared to have the vent but the ones without the V in back not.

I ended up looking at some of the suits on the real Japanese Aqux site. The exchange rate with the yen is currently 133 Yen to the dollar which means a suit costing 7600 yen would be about $57 US$

A lot of the briefs are cut very low so that they intentionally show some upper butt crack. see this one to illustrate https://aqux.ocnk.net/data/aqux/product/20220713_9ba0f0.jpg

sort of the unwritten rule in the US is that the swim brief should be cut high enough to nit show any butt cleavage but In Japan this appears to be part of the style and look for the guy.

Keep in mind that a SM in Japanese sizes is only 24-26 inches in US measurement, MED Japanese is 26-28: and Japanese LG is actually US SM at 28-30 inches. And the waist size is lunked to the rise of the suit.

My no longer available Chinese sourced "Aqux" suits were of very high quality both fit and material and remain in excellent condition. These were not an inferior product at all but I can understand why they are no longer available if they were in fact an unauthorized copy.
