Hey guys I'm a mature guy in my 30's but I'm a rookie when it comes to this. So far I've worn shorts or boxer briefs from no particular brand for swimming and the beach. But that will change now.

I ordered the aussieBum WJ Loose 1.5 Swim Brief Dawn this weekend.

I chose those because I'm interested in the loose effect, thin nylon with wet look and wonderjock technology/pouch. I just learned about all that recently.

And wondering about more, that's why I joined this forum. Thinking about the aussieBum classics and other brands. I'm making this switch because they will motivate me to work-out more and stay in shape. Are there like-minded guys here who have experience with aussieBum WJ loose? Maybe chat sometime.

Cheers!

The white color Aussiebum swimsuit is going to be transparent when wet ! I guess it's ok in the Netherlands ?

Not at a family pool or beach obviously. But I didn't have much choice at the shop I used. I have to see if I can use them on vacation. For my first I thought these could be good. I'm still learning

I like Aussiebum brand for many years. I chose a couple favorite color and prints swimsuits over the years.

Just for the loose series, these suits are not going to be just put it up and will fit on your hip. Instead, the loose series are loose in the front. Before you tie the string, the front fabric will open and drop lower than you genital. Until you have tied the string, then the suit will fit perfectly as a regular shape of a brief.

Have you buy from the original Aussiebum online shop ? Free shipping around the world for some amount $$ you spent.

Try wear the swimsuit in the shower and wet it completely. See how you like the transparency.

Sure, give it a try. Their nylon swimsuits are feeling like you are not wear anything. They are so light in weight.

I don't mind transparency but I probably go on vacation to Greece or Spain to wear those at the beach.

May be not! Classic means the style and it doesn't come with booster.

The photo looks like it's a Wonderjock.

For training in a public pool these would be more acceptable and currently at a great price:

Not bad... those are newer designs, right? I realize I'm late to the trend. My first AB's didn't arrive yet, and I'm already thinking about what to buy next. I'm looking at the WJ Loose 2.5 Portsea. Those are popular so I might find those 2nd hand on ebay or something. I'm 6'5 (1.96m) tall though so looking for XL.

Nylon swim briefs are retro, taking you back to the late 1970's before Lycra Speedos came onstream.

The early 1980's Speedos were fairly high cut, Arena sponsored several Olympic swimmers and introduced a low cut style. The competition between Speedo and Arena have led to a current niche fashion for low cut brief swimwear which Aussibum and Japanese Arena have taken to extremes showing the top of ones ass crack. Essentially Speedo style swim briefs are tied around the waist while Arena hang from the hips.

Beware, Aussibem are a Chinese swim brief manufacturer that copy Aussibum styles. They use Aussibum product photos to advertise their own versions on Ebay. There's nothing wrong with Aussibem products except that they are fake Aussibum and are made of Lycra. If you buy Aussibum on Ebay you will probably get Aussibem delivered.

The black Slam briefs I suggested in my last post are Aussibums water polo team briefs, they are selling off last seasons leftovers for £5 (GB pound) each, when they are gone they are gone.
