I am intending to only take my 2 speedo solars for swimwear when I go to FL for 2 weeks this year. That way I won't have the option of wearing any swimwear with more coverage.

Very good choice for the effort. ;)

Good plan, Minimalist. Take only what appeals to you, man, and get accustomed to wearing great gear of your own choosing.

When is your Florida trip?

Leaving Saturday, but spending the long weekend visiting our grandson in VA. Will arrive in Florida one week from today.

If anything, going on holiday should be an opportunity to wear less. You aren't likely to bump into the same people again.

The only time you see them again is over the next few days around the pool.
At least 2 of the properties have a pool which is not visible from the street, which also makes it less conspicuous than some other places.

Starting home today.
Was at the beach 5 times and pool 9 on the trip, always in a speedo.
Didn't get as much nude time as I had hoped for because:
One hotel's internet was so slow in the room that I had to use my computer outside.
Another hotel had no desk, table or chair in the room, only on the porch.
On the other hand, one hotel had split shutters on the windows so you could open the top half to let sunshine in but still have complete privacy.

My one pair of mid thigh swim shorts was looking worn so I got rid of them.'
Only swimwear I now have is two tan through from kiniki, one full cut brief and one squar ecut.
While I will probably need to buy swim shorts eventually, having only minimal swimwear coverage and fabric weight feels great for now.

Why do you need to buy swim shorts? It's not like they're very good to swim in.

Family members and friends who are uncomfortable around men in brief swimwear.

Did they tell you that? I wear Speedos around my friends without asking their opinion. If they have a problem with that it's their problem.

Had a speedo on the clothesline the day of my wife's family reunion and got so many negative comments that I don't want to find out what would happen if I wore it. Similarly, my sister has made many negative comments about men wearing speedos that I don't want to wear one in front of her.

Pretty much the same happens to me, my family is ultraconservative and I had introduced the topic in some conversations and only one cousin of mine supported speedo-like suits, but only for sports.

I don't have that problem with family. My dad always wore swim briefs. As kid I did too but when I hit puberty I switched to shorts, like everyone my age did. In the 2000's I switched to tight boxer brief type of trunks. I got some of those at H&M back then. Similar to this model:

You'll feel more free in swim brief style.

You'll feel more free in swim brief style.
Especially if it is one of the lightweight tan through suits.
After I stopped wearing underwear, I found regular speedos felt ver confining the crotch area.

I think you're right. I ordered the aussieBum WJ Loose 1.5 this weekend and I can't wait for it to arrive.
