Vega1210 I found your comment about briefer swimsuit backs interesting. I wonder if many other guys enjoy and would consider a suit with less back coverage, not a thong but possible 3/4 coverage.

I enjoy wearing suits that expose more of the sides of the butt cheek. This has been a female style for years, and I believe it looks great on guys too.

Possibly we need a thread to foster the discussion...and possibly start a trend!

SC is South Carolina? Is there a ban on all buttock exposure. How can a law like this exist when pretty much all styles for women and all speedos display st least a corner. The trend with bikinis is rear coverage that is ambiguously covering not covering the buttocks.

It's not just South Carolina. I live in Ohio, close to the Pennsylvania border. In Ohio, thongs are legal on all state park beaches. On another forum, someone wrote to the rangers at Presque Isle Beach in Erie, PA. Their response was that swimwear that didn't cover the whole of the buttocks were illegal to wear on that beach.

I think if you read the law you will see the idea is to ban thongs and g-strings. Its not the little butt cheek showing at the bottom of a suit -- its the whole bum out. I managed a hotel where we banned thongs and g-strings. Reason was the horrible show when some bent over. Obviously no one told them hair removal a must. Also, the law does require the anus be covered.
It is doubtful the laws are intended for what you are thinking, they want thongs etc reserved for private pools. If all else fails and you still have questions after reading the actual wording of the -- ask the police what constitutes a violation.

It is almost warm enough here to visit some of the local swimming holes. I went to one last year where I saw a number of men wearing thong underwear and/or skinny dipping. I believe this is because of the stream's proximity to a popular gay Russian resort we have here in Northern California. These guys were as confident as their bodies would encourage them to be. I am much more hesitant to thong in such a place since the area has so many people and not many places to hide if excessive lower body enthusiasm is experienced. I bought a blue covermale thong last week that fits very comfortably and am hoping I will be bold enough to wear there this weekend. Will need the channel the boldness you guys display here.

Does anyone take selfies while you're laying out in your speedo? I do this occasionally so I have an idea of what I look like to others. While I was at the beach the other day in my speedo, I was able to discreetly take a few side shots to get an idea of how much bulge was showing. It may appear that you really aren't showing much, but I was surprised at how much bulge I had. I'm not complaining, but it certainly would give something for people to talk about. Whoops. Oh well.

lap swimmer - that's a really nice suit and specifically like the colour. nice form showing also. i'm trying to get Kiniki to produce one of their Andre styles in med/royal blue but they don't seem to be replying to me hence i've gone elsewhere for this colour.
Had a spandex suit at school that my friend gave me which had very narrow sides and used to shrink up to half it's size when not worn and pulled on really well showing a nice bulge. the fabric used to run easily like nylon tights and started to do so; once when my aunt caught one of her talons on it! just waiting on an order from amazon to come in of very brief body builder style bikini so will see how it fits.

I would say whichever way is more comfortable for you. For me, my cock pointing towards my right hand is more comfortable than to have it pointing towards my left hand.

Either way it looks great! I love seeing the bottom of your head on the one hand. On the other hand, seeing the side profile is excellent, too!

But the right rowing machine wear can make the time on the machine pass quickly. Streaks of pure pleasure on every stroke back and forth! :) Experiment with different ideas to get the best fit and feel. You will enjoy the experiments too...who says exercise must be drab and boring?

One idea is a slightly undersized wrestling singlet with a thong or strap underneath. The singlet puts tension on all the right places and what you wear underneath is like a turbocharger on an engine. The combination will help you go faster and faster. Amazon and others has lots of singlets at very reasonable prices.

Another option is the same thing with compression shorts and tee.

You will soon discover what you like best and what helps make the workout move along.

I bought a rowing machine and put it in my loft, no windows, no one to watch. I tried rowing naked but found I was uncomfortably catching myself as I passed. Square cut shorts, running shorts and speedos felt wrong, cycle shorts worked but felt wrong for other exercises.
I found a thong felt right for rowing machine, cycle machine and karate kata. I wanted a new swim thong and looked up thongs on the internet, I discovered the Stitchboy website, a site with patterns and instructions to make your own men's swimwear including swim thongs.
I was fascinated, I'd been thinking of designing my own tent for some time using Gothic arch poles, the next development from the Roman arch and dome but I needed to know how to sew.
I made my first thong from supermaket carrier bags and sticky tape, although it was unwearable I liked the design. I bought some Lycra fabric and elastic and made my first thong, hand stitched, it was fascinating how the 2D fabric became a 3D object defined by and defining my body. I continued hand sewing the Stitchboy patterns until I bought a sewing machine.
I can now make anything from a G string to a full body suit in Lycra, I've never made my own tent although I've replaced a 5ft tent door zip. Vango started making Gothic arch tents and I now have a couple of them in different sizes. They are the future for tents although there is currently a fad for inflatable air beam tents but like 3D TV such fads come and go.

The Stichboy website has gone, but I saved all the Stitchboy patterns, if anyone needs them let me know.

Got this new nylon suit lately and it is like all the rest. So comfortable and swims great. I think NS is cutting them a little lower in the front from last year. I also have a couple of new Poly suits from NS and they are lower than previous suits. October in Texas is great sunning as the sun is not super hot and you can lay out longer.

Well I have to admit that I don't wear it to public pools. But the royal blue is much more acceptable, just a little transparent, or the red one. Otherwise the black is the less risky.

Hope everyone is staying safe! I am a straight guy, who loves to wear minimal swim wear while doing laps. I prefer to swim wearing brief style swimwear with string on the side and minimal coverage in front. (Basic back coverage but No thongs).

What do you think of the following two suits and their fit on my body type ? Good, bad or downright Ugly ? Both are Skinzwear suits, red is M73, blue is M57.

Wore them to the Apartment building pool, early in the morning. No one was there except the life guard, who didn't seem to care. I discretely took a video of myself showring before entering the pool and this is a screengrab from the same.

I've always liked string bikinis and you do those 2 full credit.
You look best in the red one, your skin tone allows you to wear brighter colours and look good. The blue one is a bit blue/grey and a little sad by comparison to the happier red colour.

String bikinis are harder to make than other swim briefs, the waist band has to be sewn in exactly right or everything comes out looking lopsided. This is why they cost a little more that other minimal suits.

Before I got my hands on the Skinzwear suits, the only ones i had were the super cheap ones that ship free from Aliexpress :P They don't leave much to imagination, but i like the freedom they give and the minimalistic feeling !

These 2 are same cut, one blue other black. Very thin material. These are the smallest suits i have worn in public. First time in Diani beach and second time in the apartment pool. Apart from a few smiles, no comments. Back has 3/4 cover.

Thanks for that advice. I will check out their site. I would like a 1.5 inch side suit that is just a little cheeky. Almost all of the women at my pool wear cheeky one piece suits and a good percentage are thong suits. It makes laps interesting! In summer, we have an outside pool that is open and the guys who swim there sometimes do wear thong suits. I am not going to wear a thong but thought it would be fun to have a suit like the one you put up. I haven’t figured out how to post pictures yet.

Luckily our pool is very private, neighbors can only see if they try hard too so I go nude most of the time and if not I’m in a very sheer g string or thong. The older couple on one side will come around and say hello once in awhile and they’ve never been bothered by what they see. The younger couple on the other side rarely get outside at all.

GIMP is free and can also export with lower quality (smaller file) so you can not reduce resolution quite as much.

Today I swam laps at the Y in a new NS Poly suit. Dry it is quite fine for public consumption. However, upon exiting the pool, I realized just how transparent the material was. With the penis in the down position it is not terribly revealing.
But for example I placed it to the side and in a flaccid state, it is way too revealing for the family scene. Just to note, my other printed suits do not have this issue and even though the material is very thin, the print does not show thru.

The blue Arena is a wonderful looking suit. The stile, cut and fit are all very good. I wish Arena would market that style in the US. To me it represents the classic men's swim brief. From my winter visits to FL, it seems to me that very brief swimwear is rare on the Gulf coast and more common on the Atlantic. Do you see other men in very brief swimwear or are you usually the only one?

St. Petersburg you’ll see a few, siesta key you’ll see some and Caspersen beach in Venice you may see several just depending on the day. Sanibel/Captiva I’ve seen some and Marco island I’ve seen a few. Rarely do I see another guy in a thong except at Caspersen. I’ll see women in thongs all over and occasionally topless. Awhile back my wife and I were on a local beach, the wife was topless and a young woman came out and took her top off so after a bit I went nude and she did too, but there was nobody else even close. East coast side from Cocoa beach down you may see anything. But I doubt you’ll see anything in the winter months except Miami and Ft. Lauderdale and where I am. Maybe the occasional older man in a bikini.

Took four days on a quiet beach on the Texas coast and enjoyed my briefs. Matagorda Bay. Nearest beach bum was 150 feet away and a quiet time it was.

We did not go down that far. We based out of Magnolia Beach and used that public beach. People there seemed to not mind my bikini at all. And my suits have full seat coverage also.
