Have you guys checked out this site? I just discovered it. Such beautiful work on men's bikinis!!!!
http://www.neptunescepter.com/
I'm just wondering which suits have the drawstring for swimming purposes.

They are sweet looking suits. I like the cool prints and patterns. I would definitely want a drawstring. Maybe send them a note and ask.

They seem to be making one unlined pouch bikini design with a wide range of printed fabric. They seem to want to discuss what the fabrics they are using are simply calling them classic and neo.
If you like what they are doing go for it, they do seem to have access to some nicely printed fabrics and the design and quality look ok.

Very hot suits - and quite skimpy - would look hot on a nice body

I sent a question on the website and the answer is the swimsuits have a drawstring. They do not have inner linings.

These suits look amazing! Does anyone on this board have one? I'd love to hear how they fit and if they are comfortable. I like the way they cover the bum.

I got one of these suits on Amazon and really like it. Good quality and the fit is awesome. One of the best things is the designs are distinctive enough you know who makes them so he is confident enough in those designs that he doesn't plaster his name or logo like a billboard on the suit. It is nice to see a suit with no advertising distracting from the suit!

I have the rainbow dots suit plus another black/white circles one. Really like them, the cut is one of the best out of anything I own. Perfectly shapes and fits everywhere. I initially bought an L as I thought it would fit pretty small, but after trying an M I think it fits better.
One negative is the fabric does fade pretty quickly.

I have one in the "Beehive" print. I really like the suit and am planing on getting some more. Most reviews say they run small, but for me I have a large and the next one is going to be a small. They have a lot of stretch to them and I prefer mine on the tighter side. I think one reason people say they run small is that these are a skimpier suit then they are used to. I have done laps in this suit and it stays put. It is an awesome suit for tanning. I got my on Amazon and was pleased. Also some of the suits are nylon and spandex while the others are polyester and spandex. Hope this helps.

Scotlandturbo; That was my concern on the sizing for Neptune Scepter. I also swim laps at the gym pool several times a week & wear the Japanese Arenas and Speedos (sizes "small" and "medium" - depending on the fabric) In your opinion would the size small in Neptune Scepter suits be comparable & would work for a 30" waist? (snug fit) - thanks.

So I decided to take a programming class at a local community college here in Sacramento, California. As I was walking to the bookstore to purchase the textbook for the class, I heard someone blowing whistles by the school pool. My curiosity, I figured it had to be the school waterpolo team practicing (it was about 8 pm at night). I walked over to the pool and sure enough, two teams were scrimmaging.
I watched the scrimmage and several of the guys come out of the pool (either to grab the ball they thrown out of pool or they were pulled out to break).
I was surprised to see the SKIMPINESS OF THE SPEEDOS they had on!!! Veryyy skimpy!!!!!! At this point, I would call them almost like string bikinis!! They were for sure less than 1' inch sides. Coupled with the fact that most the boys were nice, handsome blonde/burnette haired white guys just adds more excitement!
To add more excitement, 2 of the guys were "TUNNELING....DEEP" The fabric around there ass had pulled in soo much, that about 40% of there cheeks were showing! Wow!!!!!!!!!!!!
Needless to say, I was in heaven!! I'm soo glad I took this late Python programming class! hahahaha!!!!

I believe that the small would fit you perfectly. I think the NS are true to size and I have figured out that upsizing is not necessary. Hope this helps.

I ordered and just received two suits. I ordered exactly my size (did not size up or down) and the fit is perfect! These suits are really narrow on the sides and have a smaller cut in front, but the back is fuller. They are not built for the rigors of swimming laps, but I think they can be worn anywhere you would wear a more traditional cut, they are not obnoxiously skimpy. Just stay in control while wearing them, there is not much room to "grow". They feel great on and look really nice, too.

i have two NS suits and both have drawstrings and are fully lined. I prefer the medium sizing for a tighter fit to do laps,,, and the suit does not slip on turns

I have both a large and medium size. the difference in the two sizes is the wrap-around from the front under the crotch to the back. For the medium, the fit is a bit lower, which I like, and snug fit, although the large in the back has a few wrinkles on the side as it is not stretching real tight. my next NS suit will be a medium for sure.

That's another thing. They cut so low I shave so there is no hair showing for a cleaner appearance.

The suits are lined and have a drawstring,, so they hold the hips quite well. I use the medium where they say to use a large for a tighter fit and all is well.

All of your comments have been very helpful. I have just discovered the Neptunescepter site and have been planning to purchase a swim bikini. I have seen various comments about size and one suggestion (not on this board) that you have to buy at least two sizes bigger than "normal". I usually wear a 30" Speedo or Arena. Thanks Scotlandturbo and NZ.ben, I think I will go for a medium and see how it fits.

I ordered a medium and found it to fit well. I typically wear a 34. I think you would find a medium rather large since you usually wear a 30.

I have a 36 Hip and 33 Waist. The Neptune Medium is a good fit. About the only difference i can see between my Large and Medium is the crotch cut. the Medium sits lower on the hip,, which I like. I posted a picture in Speedo Sightings so you can see how the fit is on a 36 inch hip
I received and wore my first Neptune's Scepter suit this past weekend to the beach.
The waist size fit is great and the narrow sides are good without being too skimpy for my taste, the pouch is not snouty (I prefer a smooth round bulge to the toucan beak look) and the suit is lined for modesty. Overall I love it but my one quibble is that the print I got (a print of Chinese embroidered dragons on black) was lower resolution than expected. You could definitely see the pixelated blocks of the print but from any reasonable distance it looked fine. I was just surprised because I have other printed speedos and spandex and they aren't as lo-res as these, and the unique prints seem to be their selling point. Do the other suits look like that?

I first ordered a large NS. Found the side and butt was a bit loose. Went to Medium and stayed there. If you lay a medium on a large, you will see the width is similar but the crotch cut is a bit less. I am a 31 waist. But remember the low hip cut in NS is measured across the hips. I have photos of the suit on other strings if you are interested. I think you will find the suit a real pleasure to wear. You wear it well... Welcome to the Neptune society :) I am going to get the American Flag,, feeling patriotic. I too like a more rounded smooth pouch look. Your reference to Toucan beak,, gave me a chuckle,,,
I see you got the new Polyester/Spandex suit. How does it stretch compared to the Nylon/Spandex material? I appears in their collection to be a bit tighter fit.

A member privately messaged me in reference to the "Toucan beak" look we discussed. He suggested we were "Puffins" since we liked a more round and undefined bulge. So, After a bit of consideration, I think we have two classes of Speedo enthusiasts. The Toucan Beak crowd and the Puffin crowd. You and I are Puffins in our Neptune suits, so welcome to the family,, or species, that is. When my new USA Flag and Clouds suits arrive, I will post a complimentary Puffin Pic.

I have just ordered a NS in the "New fabric" and am wondering what the difference is compared with the original material. I have the Union Flag NS in the original fabric.
Hopefully my new NS should arrive with a week.

Here is my new Neptune Scepter Cloud in the Poly material. Swam 2,000 Meters in it and it swims well. No slip, and it like the others is very comfortable. The Poly material is not as smooth as the Nylon/Spandex suits, but none-the-less a quality suit. Now to see how it holds up in the water and sun,, time and time again.

The Cloud is the new material, polyester/spandex. The Flag is the regular material, nylon/spandex. my jury is still out on which material is a better quality, but will see as the summer progresses and they both get water and sun time. Both are Medium size, which have snug fit on my hips.

Have now received my new Neptune Scepter briefs in the "new material". Very nice I have found that the material seems very similar to the original material. I like it.
The cut seems to be briefer than my previous pair (the Union Jack UK flag design) and when comparing the two, there the new pair are approximately 1cm less from waistband to crutch.
I chose the most conservative print (the basket weave) that really just looks plain charcoal colour. For this pair, I did not want vivid patterns or giant swirls on my backside!
Also note that these have tiny brass rings in the holes where the waist drawstring comes out, rather that the previous buttonhole type sewn hole. I wonder whether that means that this new material is more likely to fray. Time will tell. Have already worn them to the pool and for some sunbathing.

Looks good Phil. You wear it well.
The metal eyelets for the drawstring are used on the nylon suits also. this is an improvement they incorporated several months back. i prefer the more conservative prints also. The Cloud is about as wild as I want. Next swim for me will be the USA Flag suit in nylon. I think they put some chemical in the material as these suits are just addicting.

Phil, I take it your living in London. Years ago I got a suit from a company over there called Intersparta. My first low hip bikini cut suit. I can't find them anymore so wondered if they went out of business.
I also have a problem with my USA NS Flag suit. The stitching in front has a gap which looks bad. I sent this photo to the maker and see how they handle the issue. Not sure if you can see the problem in this low-rez photo, but it is quite noticeable.

Hi there.
Sorry to hear of the problem that you have with your NS pouch front. Yes, I think I can see how the stitching is exposed, even on a low resolution picture. Lets hope that you do get some satisfaction from the manufacturers. I have checked my two NS suits (including the UK flag suit) to look at the construction and I reckon that there must be a fault in your suits manufacture. (I am sure that you have not been stretching the pouch too much with numerous erections!)
Yes, I am in London and I do remember Intersparta - in fact I had a pair of swim briefs from them many, many years ago. They used to do small ads in the weekend newspapers and provided a mail catalogue. I have not heard, or seen anything of them for many years so I assume that they no longer trade. I have gone into the UK government official "Companies House" that registers all businesses and keeps record of directors etc. and Intersparta does not exist. However Intersparta might have just been a trading name for someone else. The domain www.intersparta.co.uk is already registered and seems to just direct to other swimwear providers.
In short, it does not look as though Intersparta trades anymore or manufactures mens swim briefs. :(
Good luck
Phil

The folks at Neptune Scepter acknowledged the stitching anomaly and have offered me a significant discount on another suit as consideration for my dissatisfaction for the one sent. Considering returning a suit to Taiwan is in neither of our's best interest, I feel that is a proper step to buyer satisfaction. They also have added a stitch inspection step to their QC process. I cannot be more satisfied.

Bede. I have a couple of pairs of Neptune Scepter briefs and regularly wear them when lane swimming at my local pool and have no problems with them. Just make sure that the waist string is well tied otherwise you might find that the briefs slip slightly when doing fast tumble turns. The material has stood up very well to a lot of swimming and does not appear to have been affected by either pool chemicals or sea salt.
