The purpose of this exercise is to gauge the skimpiness of your swimwear using height (i.e. if it is low rise or not) and the widths of the sides. Apologies for using centimetres, but I feel this is more accurate. So - my types of swimwear are:
Speedo endurance
Height - 25 cm
Sides - 4.8 cm
Nice and dependable.
Bogner
Height - 24 cm
Sides - 4.5 cm
The centimetre less really makes a difference!
Hom microbrief
Height - 25 cm
Sides - 4 cm
And a lot more leg exposure....

Very interesting exercise. I'm not sure I got the height measurements correct. I measured from the top of the front of the suit to the bottom seam and I measured in inches.
Nike Water Polo
Height: 7.5"
Side seam: 2.25"
Turbo
Height: 7.5"
Side seam: 2"
Euro Sporti
Height: 6.5" (and this really makes a difference)
Side seam: 2"
Aussiebum Wonderjock
Height: 7"
Side seam: 1.5"
The Aussiebum suits are very deceptive. I would ordinarily wear a size Medium but I had to return one because it was way too big. Even the size Small which I have in the 1.5 and the 1.5 WJ is looser than any of my other suits. Maybe it's because the suits are 100% nylon.

How do you measure the height ?
A pouch curves on it's way up but does not add to the height.
Dooley's reply came in while I was typing.
The bottom seam is usually well forward and confuses the issue, giving very different measures for front and back.

I measured the height from the waistline to the first stitching at the bottom of the crotch.

That's exactly what I did, Bede. Another interesting way of measuring would be from the navel to the very top of the waistline of the suit. That would be a way of comparing one suit to another in terms of how low it rides on the hips.

True, but would it not depend on how much you stretch it or not?

In cm, Dooley's beloved Euro sporti would measure 16.51 cm with 5.08 cm sides.

Sebbie,
Your conversion from inches to cm is accurate , but I must have measured wrong because it would appear then that the Euro Sporti is smaller than a Mategear and that certainly is not the case. I'll have to measure it again when I get a chance.

PSDave,
I know about that - I was just confirming with Dorcas that I also hadn't received an email that a message was waiting. I always see the email after I've read the PM. But thanks for letting me know anyway.

Since I am away from my usual location for a few weeks, the only suit I have to measure is a black Adidas 30" with the three white slashes.
Sides are 5 cm (~ 2 inches)
Length is 24 cm (~9.45 inches)

You're right about that, but however big or small your package is, it will likely stretch the suits pretty much the same amount all the time. With that being the case, you'd still be able to get a comparison among the suits.

Yeah, it's great to do laps in.

Front is top front to seam. Back is top back to seam. My experience is that I get full butt crack coverage if the sum of these two numbers is greater than 16 inches, or about 40 cm. Suits shorter than this show a little to a lot of butt crack. Based on these numbers, my skimpiest and most confining suit is the little green Seobean with the "T" on the front, but you knew that already :)
Gotta love those Seobeans!

In doing these measurements, I was wondering how they impacted the fit and feel of the brief. The most interesting combination of numbers here (aside maybe from the green or yellow Seobeans) was the multicolored Aqux suit, with the very low front rise. The Aqux brief are “famous” for revealing some butt crack almost irrespective of how you position them. This sets up something of a “struggle” to determine a strategy for positioning yourself so as to not reveal too much butt crack.
And herein is the tricky part. The really low front rise, 14 cm, leaves you with a pouch with very little room. I had already learned that with limited pouch space, properly positioning yourself is really interesting. Getting yourself into a position that does not reveal “too much” butt crack becomes something of a struggle between front and rear.
First, the “down” position does not work at all. To successfully pull that one off you would need a much longer than 14 mm rise. You CAN position yourself that way, but you will end up with 4 or 5 inches of butt crack showing, with the rear of the suit mainly looking like a “hammock” for your lower glutes.
The only position that works at all is sideways, as that minimizes the amount of front pouch length. In doing this, you maximize the length in the rear, leading to the smallest amount of butt crack. But keep in mind, there is no position, that will show no butt crack at all.
Even worse, in your “struggles”, should you start to grow, even a little, positioned optimally horizontally, that is going to put more “demands” on the already very scarce front pouch space at the same time pulling the rear of the suit downward, revealing more butt crack. What a dilemma. I’m fascinated with it all trying to get the suit to look “presentable” both front and rear.
I put on the suit last night and crawled into bed, thinking about what I had learned about the interesting connection between penis length and position, degree of arousal, and how much butt crack would likely show under various combinations. At about 3 AM I woke up, just semi-hard, still in a horizontal position but the suit had come way down in the rear. I pulled the back of the suit back up in the rear, but given the state I was in, that only made matters worse, as I was now getting a delicious “tension” just thinking about how the suit was fitting me. I struggled with all of this some more, hoping to get myself positioned more comfortably horizontally in front. But to no avail! No matter what I did the tension was still there, and my desire for an orgasm was getting stronger and stronger as I struggled inside the suit.
It wasn’t very long before I blew, still thinking about the nuances of the dilemma I had put my body in. It was a great and long-lasting orgasm. Now I’m thinking how much fun it was and how much I want to get my body in that situation again. I can’t wait!:)
I’m also wondering if the Asian guys actually wear suits made like this one at public pools or beach, and in particular, how they deal with the butt-crack and penis size/position dilemma. The sense I get is that they do not worry about others seeing a bit of butt crack in public, but I do not know this for sure.
All for now,
Sebbie

Four swimsuits
Last night, I slept the entire night in a little white and red-orange Aqux suit, complete with shiny silver stars. I woke up around 4:45 AM, feeling horny for some unknown reason ;-), and decided I wanted to spend some time trying on suits and seeing how my body might respond while studying myself in the mirror and evaluating the look, fit and feel.
I dug into a dresser drawer and found four suits I had not worn in some time. I decided to put them in order in terms of size from biggest to smallest, and then try them on and evaluate each one in order.
The first suit was a genuine Speedo, in a rather wild aqua blue print. I remember I got this one as part of a purchase from Swimoutlet in a grab bag deal. In the grab bags, you specify the waist size and Swimoutlet sends you whatever brief they have that is overstock and did not sell. I more-or-less understand why this one did not sell as the pattern is rather loud, at least for most guys. Interestingly, the 30-inch waist fit me perfectly, and the 3-inch sides actually looked quite good. The rear on this suit is a 9-inch length, and buttcrack coverage was full. I would have no problem at all wearing this suit in public. I thought I looked really good in this suit.
The second suit was a TYR. I also got this one in a Swimoutlet grab bag as well, but this time a size 28. This one also ended up being a rather loud patter, but green not blue. There was less to this suit than the Speedo. The sides were a little narrower and of course the 28-inch waist fit snugger. The sides on this suit measure only 2 ¼ inches but the rear is still 9 inches. I have to say though that I did not think I looked quite as good in this suit as I did in the Speedo, I did not look as much like a real athlete in it. Nice and snug fit, but not a perfect choice.
The third suit was also from Swimoutlet, labeled Clubswim. Clubswim was the brand that preceded the Sporti brand name, but the suits were similar. This one was the Clubswim Euro design, with about 2 inch sides. This suit has a much shorter rear, measuring only 7 ½ inches. It looks fine from the front. My only issue with wearing it in public is that I can get full buttcrack coverage, but only if I keep periodically checking where the suit is riding on me and keep cinching it back up whenever a bit of buttcrack peeks out from behind the suit . A snug and tight suit but not as good an all purpose brief as either the Tyr or the Speedo. Admittedly, a 32-inch waist size would probably alleviate this problem at least to a degree.
The last suit was a little neon green suit with only half-inch sides, and what has sometimes been called a “Brazil” back which is wider than a thong but still leaving lots of glute exposure. It’s between a thong and a full back coverage brief. I bought this, and a full thong in the same color and material, from a vendor that is long gone. This suit is unlined I used to wear this suit right over the thong, and then toss it to the side of the hot tub as I entered then wearing just the thong. No one seemed to notice or mind. What is interesting about this suit is that the back is a full 9 inches long. It may not cover all the glutes, but it does provide full buttcrack coverage.
Trying on all these suits this morning and examining the look fit and feel of each suit this morning was a good deal of fun. I do this periodically, lining up 4 or more suits in order based on decreasing size, and then trying each one on in order. This morning, I made it through all the suits without having to take an orgasm break, but sometimes I am not so lucky. I guess that might depend on how luck is defined! :-)
