Has anyone ever worn a women's one piece swimsuit?

I have a few by Speedo, Nike, and TYR. These are competition style, solid color, not fashion.

When worn with a opaque tight rashguard they are quite passable as a man's bikini brief. I train daily in a solo rowing skull and find that the suit "stays in place" during sessions.

Also, they feel sexy as all get out, but that's just me 😜

I recently ordered a Women's Nike Water Polo suit after reading a review that another guy wears one when playing water polo due to his excessive scarring on his body. I have unsightly scars (they don't stop me from wearing a speedo), but it gave me an excuse to order one...and for $25, I couldn't pass it up.

It does feel nice, but I can't come up with an argument to wear it in public outside of a triathlon. It's basically a tri-suit with high thighs :P

It fits VERY well, by the way...the water polo suits don't have b00b space, so it fits right up against my chest.

In high school we had a crosstown meet and we (a relay team of four) came out in girls speedos that we had borrowed. It felt very odd and looked really silly, got lots of laughs. Had we been thinking we might have put the girls up to wearing our suits.

It's, (wearing a one piece), not for everyone, but for some it works. I would not wear a one piece suit by itself in public unless it was a boy leg cut which is very similar to a tri suit.

Most people know me where I train and respect me as an athlete, so perhaps what I'm wearing is not an issue.

Ok for some guys for various reason I admit, but not for me the briefer the better just thongs. I like to be ogled but not that much I guess.

Speedo made a S2000 for men and women. Obviously the mens did not do well. I was/am fortunate to still have one. Nice fit (then) with a zipper up the back. Pulled everything tight. Below is a link to a small picture.

That's EXACTLY what I was looking for to wear for summer scuba diving...something that would stop my gear from rubbing while not messing up my tan lines on my leg :P

According to my personal database of all things "fun to wear" I found this.

The S2000 Gold was purchased 3/1994 for $59.75. Purchased from a company called William B. Hugg. Was made of 80% Polyester/20%Polyuretha

The speedo hydrasuit and the zoggs variant are all well fitting on guys and there are a few men who swim in such suits. I have done under my wetsuit and when warmer just the suit in the river.

It is funny how at one point in time all men wore were onepieces. Now it is practically mandatory to go shirtless regardless of shorts/speedos. I tried a one piece years ago and loved it. I have seen some on sale at ebay..

Some of you who have read my posts, here, know that I prefer Jammer suits. And I also wear rashguard tops to cover my fatness and back hair.

So, I was excited to recently purchase a "one piece Speedo swimsuit" from a guy on eBay (that is HIM in the attached pic, NOT me). Thought this would be a nice piece to eventually wear once I lose a little weight and my stomach isn't quite so big... it would stylishly cover my back.

Once it arrived I discovered that it was actually a Speedo Triathlon suit, not just a one-piece swimsuit: it has a smaller sized chamois at the crotch.

At first I was a little disappointed. But then I realized, instead of this being my first One-piece mens' suit, it was my first triathlon suit.

I recently swam in a Yingfa neck to knee suit a womans racerback style without issue started with a rash shirt but removed it part way through the swim and had no problem with other swimmers or staff.

I ordered this (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HCAG6RC) recently, and it fits EXACTLY to size. Don't kid yourself on the size if you order one...if you wear a 34" in US jeans, order a 36". It is truly to-size. I like the cut in the butt :P Kinda like a euro-cut brief

Reviving this thread.

Being a Lycra fanatic I do/have worn many one-piece Lycra outfits. Be it a full body Zenti suit, wrestling singlet, biking tri-suit, or anything in-between. I recently was informed, on this board, that Swim Outlet was having sale.

I earlier bought a women one-piece suit. Fabric and size were allllllll wrong, sorry to say. This attempt was better. Nylon/Lycra in black and gold (yea Steelers) and correct size. Wearing it now and it fits and feels perfect. May wear the rest of the day.

Correct sizing was problem so here are my stats should you want to try one. I am 5'10" 165 pounds and this suit, Swim Outlet Sporti is a size 40.

I prefer wide strap suits like these for workouts.

One of contributors here pointed out that men once wore suits that gave full coverage and the guys should have that option.

Just don't think though they would permit one piece suits in competition except in open water swims.

Exactly right. After the rise of the technical suits during the 2000, 2004, and 2008 Olympics, FINA, swimming's governing body, issued new guidelines for men's suits in 2010. They must now be of standard fabrics, and can't go above the natural waist or below the knee

I like the Sporti wide strap one piece suits. They are inexpensive and good fits. I have a couple of them. They are great workout lengths swims.

Always rinse my suits in fresh water to make them last longer and avoid fade.

It was a very cold day this past month, when I had to go to the doctors again this month for an for a rescheduled M R E. My doctor told me it would just for my upper torso and arms. She didn't say why, but did go on the appointed day and time. I was well dressed for the very cold weather, as always wearing warm snug jeans and shirt with my brown colored long sleeve, back zipper leotard and matching brown colored tights. Over them I had a soft snug yellow colored tank suit style leotard, keeping me extra warm underneath. When called in by the nurse, she said this would be a full M R E exam and of course the technician was a young woman. I was a bit older now, but kept in decent shape and good health. The nurse told me that all clothes had to come off, including my leotard, tights and lycra undies. I did blush while she stayed to help me get ready. As usual, shoes and winter socks came off, then I got the snug jeans off with my flannel shirt, when the nurse and lady technician said I could keep my leotards on for now while the sonogram equipment was setup. Adding to my upcoming plight was the exam room door was partially open, giving the the doctor's receptionist a good view of me still snug in my brown colored leotard and tights with the yellow tank suit style leotard over them. None of us in the exam room realized the door was open and fortunately there weren't any other patients in the waiting area. It been some time since I had to go through this medical ordeal, being completely naked with only a flimsy paper gown. Now the time to bear it all had come, when told by the nurse, she will help me out of my leotards, as I still had too many snug layers on. I did begin to get quite aroused as she slowly peeled the yellow colored tank suit down my still leotard clad upper torso, with the receptionist getting a good view. She gently pulled and tugged it down and off, as the female technician also watched with a with a big smile, making me feel not so ashamed or embarrassed. I felt so snug and secure in them, as more and of me was uncovered with the yellow tank style suit coming off first, then she unzipped and pulled the brown colored leotard down and off my squirming body, now covering my lower body in the paper gown, then slowly and gently peeling off the tights and undies. Once naked, the lady technician applied the sonogram equipment and gave me a full sonogram examination, as prescribed by my doctor. It took almost as long for the nurse stripping off my leotard and tights for the exam. In the end, after all was said and done and I dressed again in my warm snug clothes, both the nurse, technician including the receptionist complimented how nice I looked in my brown colored leotard and tights, especially with the yellow tank suit over them. The nurse said she especially like helping me out of them and told me, I still looked good in my winter clothes, leotard, tights, then only in nylon undies and and naked too. I blushed again, but did feel great being with these lovely medical ladies, despite not wanting to having all my clothes come off including the clinging leotard, tights and yellow tank suit style leotard. Again in the end it was worth it, making my medical endeavor go very well.
