So I am just getting into Speedos and other skimpy brief swimwear, just curious as to how many of you other men keep yourself trimmed up or shaved completely down under. Do you also trim or shave arm pits and chest?

As for me, I am usually trimmed very short on my man bush and shave my balls and arm pits. I keep my chest hair trimmed short.;)

I usually keep everything shaved down low. The majority of my suits are 100% nylon and I love the feeling of the silkiness close to my skin. Another benefit of being smooth is that putting on and taking off a cock ring is much easier without hair getting in the way

I tend to go back and forth. Sometimes I let it grow, but not to a full bush. Then I get tired of it and shave it all off. The smooth feeling is something special I will say. I have no chest hair (lucky me), and very light armpit hair. Usually an electric razor to the pits keeps it short. For some reason I want to do a total hair removal from my legs, but have not done that yet.

I go back and forth on it to. I usually just trim my bush to a small length. Luckily it takes while for it to grow back.

The chest hair I keep trimmed because most guys on my WaterPolo team and Swim team keep it shaved or trimmed. It just looks and feels better.

Everything waxed from the neck down. Been doing hair removal for a long time, was very light to begin with. Go back every 6 weeks for touch up.

It depends... Usually just a light shave in the "bikini area" and pits (I leave a bit of hair there but thin it out and shorten it). Most of my body hair is pretty tame so I dont touch it. Sometimes when I am wearing more daring styles, Ill shave everything off near the hotspots...

I go back and forth. In the lead-up to swimsuit season, I do a nearly total nose to toes shave, leaving only the forearms untouched. I usually touch that up at least twice a week until fall. Once the weather starts to turn, I get lazy, and usually only shave the nether regions, and only about once every other month (Or if I think I might have intimate company, although that is quite infrequent).

I wish there was a bath you could get in from the neck down to remove all hair permanently...I'd do it

Ha, ha, that would be too easy. Bite the bullet (literally), and get waxed. All you have to do is lay there.

I keep it trimmed up a little so it doesn't get real long and hang out of my swimsuit at all. I'm blonde and not real hairy anyway so overall my body is just a bit fuzzy but mostly it's not visible. I have to cut it around my nipples now and then, it gets really long there for some reason. I like to keep it short on my balls and off the shaft too. A friend says he plucks hairs out of his crack and peritneum area but that sounds painfull, impossible and is just too much information. LOL
When I wear my new JOK half mini there's quite a bit of hair showing so that, legally, causes it to be obscene, if I understand the law correctly. Not that I'd be wearing it in public, and there are no public places to display oneself here. Maybe when I go to Vancouver BC next month, is there any fun place there?

No. Funny how you didn't mention leg hair, as I'm guessing a lot of guys wear board shorts to hide unseemly leg hair. Fortunately I don't have much leg hair, and it's practically invisible being a blond colour.

I have been shaving for a number of years. At first, I'd trim my pubes and shave my balls, but after a while I decided to shave everything. Shave everyday in the shower at the gym. I found that the Gillette Fusion gives me the smoothest shave. The reason I started was due to the fact that I would get heat/perspiration rashes from cycling. I got so tired of applying creams and powders. Several team members shave, too. Great feeling and a nice "clean" look, in my opinion.

A little fun fact. many of us speedo aficionados wonder why surfers love board shorts or why they are considered practical. Surfers wear them to protect their hairy legs from getting "waxed" while they are sitting on the boards waiting to catch a wave. All that wax they rub on the board will unintentionally "manscape" the backs of their legs without "protection"... As to the popularity of broadsides on non surfers, that is a whole other discussion.

After you said this, I started looking into it. I'm going to check out a local salon that specifically offers full-body men's waxing

All great reasons to try waxing. Anyone hear of "sugaring"?

Jerry

Yes, not as effective as waxing.

A good wax technician will use different types of wax on specific areas of your body.

I have been told by them that they are using a "hard wax" on sensitive areas.

Very effective and will leave you very smooth with no bumps or rash.

It's important that you go to a salon with a experienced staff.

Shaver/Trimmer here too. I have some body hair so I can't shave pubes entirely, it would look just plain weird. I leave about an inch wide strip of closely trimmed hair for pubic area but the sack and shaft get a full shave. Use a bic razor and some conditioner and it works great, the odd knick here and there. I'll usually trim in the shower after swimming since my sack is nice and taut from the cool water - less chance of knicking myself.

I will say, a few years ago when I first started trimming/shaving and I was in the showers, I was a bit more self conscious about being seen with my junk shaved, but now it's much more common so I don't have an issue with being seen shaved. At our pool, more guys trim/shave than not.

completely smooth from the neck down ever since I started growing body hair; the face gets shaved once a week. not for any aesthetic reason, but to keep my skin from freaking out. This often comes into conflict with the fact that I like my guys hairy and bear-y.

I do "manscape" for a few reasons. (1) Sunscreen is really difficult to apply if the hair is too long. It end up covering one spot too well and leaves the rest of the skin exposed. (2) I hate it when hairs catch in and get pulled by your clothes, especially socks if you have some hair on the top of your foot. And (3) I feel way too hairy when I let the hair grow. I trim everything - leg, chest, arm, pubes, the lot - down to a #3 length on my trimmer every couple weeks or so. Plus, I hate the way your pubes sometimes poke through the fabric of your speedo. It looks odd and messy to me. Speedos are very clean and simple garments so I don't like my body hair ruining it in that way.

I don't know if I'd ever shave completely since I have no need to. Lap times don't matter THAT much to me as a casual swimmer!

I shave my upper arms and what little hair grows on my back, which honestly I'd probably do even if I didn't intend to be seen shirtless. But otherwise no, as a "bear" wearing a speedo while sporting a full chest of hair and hairy legs is my whole thing!

I shave on a daily basis. As both a swimmer and cycler, I have had to deal with heat rashes. Having tried creams and powders, I realized that it's just much easier to get rid of the hair ... COMPLETELY!! On my swim team (Masters), a number of us are totally shaved and several are well-trimmed. I'm not that hairy, but I do shave both arm pits and chest, too. Love the feeling of a smooth body!!:)

I have shaved in the past, got tired of cutting myself and the ingrown hairs/razor burn. Now i just trim pubic region, armpits and chest with a set of a hair clippers. I have considered getting a full body wax just to see if I would prefer that. I think my body hair used to bother me, now it is just sorta there and I learn to live with it.

I am a pretty hairy guy, and, overall, I like my hair -- and so does my wife.

During the cold winter months, I go full-on hairy monster.

When it is not winter, I only do minimal manscaping:

Trim the pubes to match the density and length of the rest of my body hair.
Shave the shaft.
Shave the sack.

I do wish I could laser off my back hair, though. My wife is not too fond of it, and neither are her lady friends. So, I am very self-conscious of it. It is one of the reasons I wear a rashguard for swimming.

I need to shave the legs and arms for many of the reasons you guys have stated. Is there any hair removal creams that would work that you feel are reasonably safe for application on, say a weekly basis?

Otherwise I have the pubic area clean as hair hanging over the bikini top is just not cool..

First time I was shaved of all my pubes was by my high school male coach. After we had lost a meet he made me stay afterwards. He spanked me nude in the shower then proceeded to shave off all my pubes and body hair.I was crying as my bush hair fell to the floor. He then volunteered me to pose nude for female art classes. My face turned red as girls from my class were in the class. There I was naked as a baby and they saw me hard.

I've never been hairy to begin with, but I've been doing a complete body shave regularly for around six years. I'm bald as well (with a trimmed beard), and love those teeny tanlines, so it makes me feel very sensual!

Before summer started I was in Chicago and got lazered smooth.Less painful than waxing especially my balls.

Totally shaved cock and balls for me. Gives me a better shape in speedos, especially very brief ones. Trimmed chest also.
