Sears store in North Dakota here today, of all places...a blue standard Speedo swim brief right on the rack. I'll bet its been two decades since I've seen a swim brief of a department store rack in this state.

Good!!!

This may be the result of my complaints to all the retailers about the lack of choice in men's swimwear.

Pity you cant find that in California where Target, Nordstrm, Macys, etc have them listed on their site but you go in and nary a brief to be found...

Can't find them in Maine either except for a very small selection of boring solids at Dick's Sporting Goods (lots of options on their website). Good for you CD for complaining to the retailers.

Thanks for posting the link to that article Byron. Let's hope it catches on in the US and abroad.

Her reference to Peter Stringfellow and Rod Stewart means thong-men
(not the best of presentations but I give them credit for not following the sheep)

I've noticed that there seem to be fewer women in bikinis at my local pool now. It's quite funny for me to be wearing less than anyone else, being as I dress modestly the rest of the time. :)

If you want to guess what fashionable women will be wearing in 2015, you can look at http://mbfashionweek.com/miami for designers showing off new swimwear. The event is sponsored by Lycra among others.

There are some girls wearing bikinis inspired by wet suits or surf wear, so they tend to be not too skimpy. Amazing that a whole week is dedicated to showing off latest swimwear from so many designers. But most of these swimsuits are not really meant for serious swimming. But I assume that swimmers at Bede735's pool will eventually take fashion cues from these pool-side wear since fashion eventually spreads out and reaches different people, even real swimmers.

Plenty of fail there if you ask me. Many are not sexy, functional, beautiful, or even a good example of design technique. There were only a few good pieces I saw.
