As a half-Korean lad, I couldn't help but find this story interesting back in 2012. Quite amazing how far some will go for their country.
Korean pop singer Kim Jang-hoon certainly went the distance; halfway across the Sea of Japan, to be precise. He led a host of speedo-clad college guys on a swim to Dokdo Island to challenge the Japanese claim over it. Despite the heavy rains, he performed live right after emerging from the choppy waters. Kind of crazy to take this challenge during typhoon season, but thankfully they arrived safe and sound.
Here's the video (http://youtu.be/vu47yYWt_Wg) of the main story. I think you guys will enjoy 0:10 =)
Here's another video (http://media.smh.com.au/news/world-news/south-koreans-swim-to-disputed-islands-3558368.html) showcasing the first two swimmers to reach the island.
Does anyone recognize the brands of their apparel? I tried figuring out what brand of swimsuit they're wearing, but no luck.
