View Full Version : Thongs
I love wearing thongs. I know most of the topics are about speedos. I was curious if anyone else is wearing thongs?

nice thread. I also love thongs. I don't wear them as underwear, but have some thongs (underwear) in my collection. It feels great and sexy.

this item is great. so sad it's not avaliable anymore.:(
I have thong underwear and lots of thong swim suits. I wish speedo still made that thong. Sometimes you need a conservative thong for the beach! If you have a great ass show those cheeks!:D

Great to have been introduced to that Speedo (but sadly no more it seems):(
Bryon, can you tell me how to post some of my own pictures on a post. Not just a picture from some web site.

The Speedo thong shown above is a swim thong as opposed to a fashion or underwear thong. A swim thong is made from the same fabrics as the manufacturers other brief swimwear eg Lycra, the stitching should be done on the same machines as their other products and look similar.
A swim thong should have waist elastic and also leg elastic, so there should be 2 strips of elastic and the rear fabric running through the ass crack. A swim thong should have a pouch front (created by sewing 2 front panels together along a convex curve), you will need a little more space at the front of the thong than a smooth front would allow.
A swim thong should stay on when you are swimming in a pool or even a quite rough sea, but as with other speedos you would need a waist cord to tie if you intend to dive.
It actually feels good to swim in the sea in a thong, you are kept in a skin tight pouch at the front while the water flows over you at the back. I once went to the beach near Sandwich in Kent with a friend, I arrived in shorts and stripped down to speedos before going into the sea. Coming back to the beach I stripped off my wet speedos and put on a dry bikini, next time I swam I took off my wet bikini and put on a dry swim thong. It was fun watching the reaction of the friend.
I love wearing thongs at the beach and the water. I enjoy the looks I get.

Re. post #10, I wish they would come back. Btw, re. post #9, can you or Sebbie or NJH advise FJD1 on posting his personal pics?

I'm curious too as the attachment option seems to have disappeared. The only way I know it to provide a link to a photo stored on one of the free photo sharing services

I've had two Speedo brand thongs and didn't like the fit. When the waist was the right size - not extremely tight - it came up higher than I liked - almost to my navel. I've had much better fitting swim thongs than those made by Speedo.

I have many swim thongs, including two speedo thongs. They do cover a bit more than most thong swimsuits, but on more conservative (but still thong-legal) beaches, they tend to be better received. Perhaps the speedo logo gives them some beach cred that other, less-known, brands don't have

I have several thongs and jockstraps just to mix it up, my go to undies are Piado bamboo briefs or 2xist contour briefs in a variety of wild colors:) I even still have a few CK tightly whitey briefs that are several years old but they are so comfy I just do not want to get rid of.
Briefs guy only, cannot stand boxer briefs as the legs ride up, less material the better. Regular boxers are so boring and not comfortable. I do have a few pair of shorty trunks or square cuts which are very similar to briefs.
Speedos and briefs offer the best feel and comfort to me. I can wear a thong but not everyday as I just don't find them as comfortable, but they are super sexy!
i love thongs i wear them everyday also wear thong swimwear, i wore them everyday in jamaica last december.

I love thongs as well! I wear one as underwear every day and wear swim versions at clothing optional type places (beaches, resorts, etc).

I often wear thongs at crowded beaches, I like the flat front kind that are tight enough to stay on in rough surf.

I wear thongs almost exclusively as underwear. I've become used to wearing thong swimsuits most of the time at different beaches and haven't had any problems. The may not be 'mainstream' but lately I don't see that people really care.
Well I switched to thongs at the beach a year ago.
Not easy the first time but so comfortable!
I also wear skimpy briefs if the beach is crowded with families, but now thongs are accepted if it is not too revealing at the front. So I wear black thongs with a classic fit.

Do you wear them on beaches in the US or elsewhere? Curious because here is Southern California I rarely see guys in thongs. I started wearing them last summer but so far only at home by the pool. At the beach it’s still baggy trunks for me, until I get the courage to wear something skimpier.

Never been to California beaches, just Florida and Hawaii. Florida is a challenge because they're frequently too crowded to feel comfortable. Hawaii has some nice beaches that are hard to get to but worth the effort. Mostly local islanders. Never had a problem. Everybody just keeps to themselves.
